I'm surprised about the multispecs and lack of a prop mod. Also, if you're not planning on overheating you're got 4 mods for ECM strength. If you ARE overheating, you've just stacked yourself to 5 (for ECM strength, OH stacks with modules, sadly). Add the low jam strength for multispecs and the fact that we'll have a bunch of jamming boats and you might as well run racials. Furthermore, the multispecs draw 4x the cap and sport 1/4th the optimal range. It sounds like we're going to have the support structure in place to try to stay at standoff ranges, so if you use multispecs you'll need to warp into the phonebooth to have any effect.


Also some recommendations for ECM:

'Hypnos' SDA are virtually always cheaper than SDAII, with the exact same specs.

The M4 jammers are virtually always MORE expensive than their T2 counterparts, for the exact same specs but take less to repair heat damage.

You're quite right. Changing out the Multis for some racials. I'll bring a complete load of racials (4 of each type) and you can balance me out to whatever you need.

Soooo, are we to bring whatever we want? Or are there some specific requirements/wishes? I'm happy to fly whatever is needed, just let me know if I need to bring something specific. I can fly all minnie subcap, near perfect gunnery/nav, and ISK isn't an issue.

It's probably quite an expensive fit now but I'm pretty sure I paid about 6 mill for each of the faction mods back in 2009, so I'm calling it "cheap"

Thanks Viss/Sarek and also Kaeda for reminding me of the reason I bought corpii nos.

This is an incredible tanking machine. Totally unbelievable. The one I lost took two BCs and 3 BSs to kill it - that took them the best part of 2 minutes to do when I was the last on grid (too many scrams to get out).

Had I just orbited the Harby rather than trying to get out I don't honestly think they'd have killed me until I ran out of cap boosters. Have to give that a try next time

Edit - in fact the Tempest, Apoc, Hurricane and Harbinger were shooting at Othran for just under 3 minutes although the cane switched to someone else after a minute or so. What a ship this is!

Edit2 - and the corpii nos did just what Kaeda said, lovely.

I think the McGuirk 40-30-20-10 spread proved itself on the last roam. Whatever you jamming mofos did, please do it again!

I think what we did most importantly was not dying toward the end. During the 97X fight I was taken down to 30% armor at one point (and I think John was in a similar situation). Forced a disengagement warp, and a liberal spamming of the 'Broadcast Needs Armor/Shields' buttons upon reengagement, but I'm happy that the Blackbird duo was able to keep the two Falcons deterred and out of the fight long enough to allow our team to systematically wipe out the opposing fleet one ship at a time... 40/30/20/10 worked well. Not sure if the Hurricane/Sabre/Falcon combo is losing its flavor, but I found there were hardly any Caldari on the field all night, and Gallente and Amarr were pretty target rich. Probably worth noting and bringing this kind of rainbow loadout for future roams.
