Could it be that us PC users resent that Bill Gates is a dorky-looking nerd/geek and Steve Jobs is a relatively good-looking guy that has made a nice little niche for himself and is pissing in Gates' pool by putting out cool-lookin' shit? Could that be why more women use Apple products than men do?
Though I'm primarily a PC user now, my first computer was a Mac, because I was doing CGI work at the time, and PCs sucked by comparison.
Just my 2 bits toward the flame war !lol
btw: the mouse does look pretty snazzy 8)
... oh, yeah, the original buttonless, wheel-less mouse ...

I thought the board of directors took over or whatever and fired Steve Jobs? :?
EDIT: I took a look for myself:

[blockquote]Steve Jobs was fired from Apple in 1985 by the CEO of Apple at that time. Also, Steve Jobs recently took a leave of absense from Apple for health reseasons but has since returned to work. [/blockquote]
No hard feelings then I guess.

The very short version, may be slightly inaccurate.[blockquote]Steve Jobs was fired from Apple in 1985 by the CEO of Apple at that time. Also, Steve Jobs recently took a leave of absense from Apple for health reseasons but has since returned to work. [/blockquote]
The Apple board wanted to license Mac OS to clone manufacturers, Jobs didn't want to.
They fired him.
He founded Next Computer and part of what they did was a brand new OS.
As predicted the Mac Clones cut into Apple's sales, they were having serious problems. Mac Os was looking old and creaky (didn't even have proper multitasking) so they were looking to buy in a new OS as a starting point.
They looked at the BeOS, but couldn't come to an arrangement so bought Next instead.
Jobs returned as part of the Next takeover.
Apple turned the Next OS into Mac OS X
Profit.
But I take no responsibility for any inaccuracies
Again, if people prefer Mac OS that is their choice and I won't try to tell them it is shit for what they want to do on it.
Disclaimer: Whilst I said I run Windows I also own a first gen MacMini and even run linux on various machines. Right tools for the job

nah, it is mainly there for looking cool, being novel, and costing $70i think it's cool, just don't think it'll be any good for gaming.
it was only yesterday's sacrifices that made today's disappointments possible

+1 as well :shy:+1
This adv-vid of the new iMac also discusses the mouse btw:
And yeah I concur with Ged, the "mighty" mouse wasn't that usable.
