Excellent class. I learned a lot during the course and the roam. Looking forward to the Wolfpacks class. And others as they come available. A lot of information to assimilate. Some I already knew and some that was new. Looking forward to joining an op as Alumni! Even the pyre at the end was a blast.

I loved the Tengu fight. I put myself in his shoes.. hmm... 3 tacklers... already aggressed, sweet, can't be worse than what's on the other side. *jumps into a 60 frigate swarm* ah crap. *burns back to gate and jumps back through* Almost felt like I was killing a noble animal with the way he was killing off our tacklers once he'd jumped back through. The mad rush to try and get in range, overloading all my mids to score a jam to keep my gang mates alive. Thankfully, someone was managing to hold a point as scrambler after scrambler sacrificed themselves for the pack to draw closer. Loved that :D

It was a good fight for sure, tho I made several noob mistakes that could have been (and almost were) fatal. Those jams of which you speak saved my @$$ . (literally)

That was fun...I bubbled and then managed to get a web on him (nice turn of speed:)) just long enough for Bamar to get a web/scram on him. I went down. Bamar held on long enough for a few more tacklers to get points... it was definately a pack of wolves pulling down the noble stag :)

This was excellent. I was thoroughly impressed with your ability to find targets in an area that turned out quieter than we could have expected, at the way another Agony pilot smoothly stepped up and took the fleet when there were connection issues for initial FC, and at the valiant AGONY tacklers who let us get the tengu at the cost of their own ships. Having flown under a variety of FCs, I have some basis to say that Caldak has his act together. Also, the suicide run at the end was brilliant! Agony rocks! -- Only constructive comment, which I noticed while reviewing the course materials: http://www.agony-unl...itle=EWAR_Guide still shows the old Falcon and Rook EW bonuses from before the terrible, misguided, tragic, illogical, pandering-to-fail-pilots Falcon nerf (not that I flew them or anything): Rook - Non-cloaking recon, gets 10% reduction to Jammer capacitor use and 20% bonus to Jammer optimal range per caldari cruiser level and 20% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength per recon ship level. Falcon - Cloaking recon, gets 10% reduction to Jammer capacitor use and 20% bonus to Jammer optimal range per caldari cruiser level and 10% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength per recon ship level. Now the EW bonuses for both are 50% Bonus to ECM Target Jammer capacitor use (if you're in this ship you have Cruiser 5, right?) and 30% Bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength per level of Recon. One might check the signal distortion amplifier bonuses as well, believe they changed in that patch to give some of the range back ...

My father used to say that not playing to win is like sleeping with your sister. Sure she's a great piece of tail, with a blouse full of goodies, but... it's just illegal. Then you get into that whole inbred thing. Kids with no teeth who do nothing but play the banjo... eat apple sauce through a straw... pork farm animals.

Finally downloaded the video and remembered something while watching it... On the Tengu chase it would have been very helpful to know who the tackler was so that we could use the warp to member function to quickly close the distance. Especially since he had such a head start (we were holding on the gate until he aggressed in case he jumped back through). Also, in the heat of the battle I didn't recognize if he was aligned to any celestial, but the chase should have demonstrated the value of having a tactical bookmark 100 and 200km off the gate toward differents celestials Even after a tactical warp to a member near him, he was going well over 1100m/s (my frig top speed) and was still getting further away from me. As for now, I'm finishing energy management V tonight so I can learn thermodynamics and overheat my AB/web. Maybe thermodynamics should be added to the "if possible please train" list for pvp basic. Doesn't pretty much everyone in 0.0 overheat their mods on a regular basis? Could basic info on overheating be included in the course, or is this saved for more advanced classes.
Games are fun because of who you play them with.
If you're not having fun you're doing it wrong.

Overheating is really an advanced skill. Not only is there a lot of training involved for it, but used wrong you will quickly burn up all your modules and leave yourself unable to do anything at all.

I wouldn't say the difference it makes is essential, definitely in a pvp-basic class. A little extra dps/tank/speed is occasionally enough to make a difference in situations like the one the tengu found himself in, but for a member of the class I think that difference is pretty negligible.
