Sorry I got too far ahead of the fleet on the scouting. I was only about 20 seconds or so ahead of you all. Those guys did a good job of setting up the perfect smartbomb scenario. Hope you all enjoyed the class.

I don't think the blame rests on your shoulders. We got held up by some stragglers not jumping through the previous gate, so there was a long delay between when you reported and we warped, allowing the Domi's to get positioned.

Overall, good class. Information was clear and succinct. The course actually moved along a lot faster than I had anticipated. Looking forward to the next wolfpacks class to be announced so I can get that pre-req out of the way in anticipation of some of the more advanced courses.

I just want to thank you for the class and the loads of fun, even the BS bombs were a blast lol... having the carrier self destruct was interesting, your teaching style was perfect, thank you.

Sensational class Braeden. I especially loved how patient both you and Skrewed were with us all, and how everything was explained so thoroughly the first time that very few of us had any need to ask questions to understand exactly what you guys were conveying. I learned a remarkable amount of things that I really had no idea about in such a condensed period of time, and I'm confident the way it was delivered then practiced has really made it stick. In the roam, I was fortunate enough to get to experience that carrier takedown/faceoff (hah, never fancied seeing a self-destructing carrier my first roam) and at the same time got a taste of the realities of pvp by losing my 3rd and last ship not long after :P Add to the mix the smartbombing dominix's, whom we surely had wetting themselves a little later when the roles were reversed, and I couldn't imagine a more thorough introduction to real pvp! Thanks to Ripard Teg for his excellent handle on the fleet and all the recons/skirmishers for finding and tackling our targets too in the roam. Superb example of AU tactics and coordination, it was really spectacular to be a part of. I definitely hope to be able to join you guys again in the near future, because this is what Eve is all about!

Great class, learnt a lot and was terrific fun. Looking forward to enrolling in future classes. I didn't quite stay to the end so fingers-crossed I get back out of 0.0 in one piece when I next log in !lol Only recommendation I'd have is to give slightly earlier access to the reading materials - getting access after the weekend prior to the class meant I really had to cram the reading and preperation time into the evenings leading up to the class which meant I drew a little fiancee-agro :o But otherwise, fantastic, looking forward to trying to get on a Wolfpack. Cheers, Sunk

To the students, Great job on listening to the FC and the great patience on the carrier. You all did a great amount of hurt to MM on killing those fighters and adventually lead to his suicide. Good class and great ppl to fly with for the night. V/R the dikester

Overall I though that tonight's PVP BASIC was an excellent class, amazingly well designed and professionally delivered. I was really impressed by the skill and patience of the instructors and the team that made the roam work. It's hard to pick a highlight... time passed so quickly! Oh, hang on... we nailed a carrier :) Tonight's roam was the first time that I felt that I was doing the right thing at the right time and not just freezing up. Thanks so much for a great course, and for being a really friendly and approachable team!

I'd like to thank Agony for an excellent class. It was very smoothly taught, with the instructors showing considerable patience as well as expertise. My only criticism, and it is intended constructively, is that the course seemed to cover what we had already been expected to read in the pre-course material. Obviously I agree that putting what we learn into practice is a great learning tool, but the course itself didn't really develop on anything in the material provided beforehand. Braedan and Skrewed did an excellent job of explaining things though, and certainly had extra value to add to the already excellent material. That said, the roam was absolutely amazing. It gave everyone a chance to experience PvP on a much larger scale than they are likely to experience in the course of their normal Eve gaming. The fleet was commanded superbly, with minimal losses given what we were up against. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, more roaming, less going over what we were all expected to have known beforehand. I would highly recommend the course to anyone considering it, and I will be keeping a keen eye on the forums for the wolfpacks course. Thanks guys, it was great.

The course was a blast guys. I've run low/null sec gangs and lived in 0.0 most of my time in EVE, yet I still learned a some very useful things from this course (and this is just the Basic course, I can't wait to enroll in the more advanced ones). The roam went surprisingly well and it certainly didn't feel like a gang of first time PVP'ers in frigates. We netted about a billion ISK worth of kills on the killboard, and that's not even counting the carrier that self destructed after sending wave after wave of his drones and fighters after us (he didn't want that carrier anyways, right guys?). Oh, and the smartbombing domi's were pretty hilarious IMO. One helluva way to start the night out, haha, but I don't think we had a single person orbit too close to a smart bombing BS after that incident :D , so it wasn't all bad, haha. Excellent course guys, and I hope to enroll in many more of your courses in the future. Thanks again. !lol

Great course, very well run and easily understandable. I learnt 2 main things: first, SBs are a bitch to frigs if you aren't expecting them and second, lag meant that I kept arriving just as everything was popping !lol Will be signing up for Wolfpacks soon. RandomMale

I had a blast! Big thanks to Braedan, Ripard & the rest of Agony crew. I wanted to continue after the stop in Venal, but my laptop had enough and overheated, turning off :o I'll definitely be attending some more of Agony classes - tons of good info and very well presented. My only regret is that we failed to get the SB Domi back - was in like 30% structure.. Oh well, next time *reloads weapons* :)

This was my first time in 0.0 and I loved it. There are some things I'd like to get off my chest. It was me who had lag during one of the early lowsec gate jumps, it was the only time during the whole class that I got any lag, and yes, I had clicked off all effects and sound in my client, still I was on hold for almost a minute causing the FC to call my name telling me to jump. I didn't realized at the time but now I'm sure I was the one delaying the fleet and causing us to fall into the smartbombing fest that cost us half the fleet. I know these things happen, I'm sorry it had to be me. Despite that, noone pointed a finger to me or even mentioned me causing the delay not even once. This show the maturity not only of the FC but of the whole fleet. Kudos to all of you. The smartbombing thingy should have been a chaotic mess, instead comms remained clean, we were told promptly what to do with our pods and an explanation of why we had lost our ships came forward as soon as we were out of danger. Very professional. I had the impression of being flying with a fleet of hardened PvPrs, not with a herd of students. Something that also impressed me was the quality of the rest of the Agony support pilots, skirmishers, scouts, people answering questions on fleet chat, people managing the wings, moving the split fleet till we were joined again, the way they handled voice comms, reports... amazing stuff. Just to be part of this operation was a blast in itself, and I personally learnt a lot by simply being part of the operation and listening to you guys. The ending with the drone-loaded self-destructing carrier was just the cherry on top of the cake. During the first part of the roaming I was always too late locking targets, getting close to them and so on. Later I managed to get my act together and was able to react faster to the FC commands and by the last action I had a blast webbing and pointining the carrier and shooting down drones costing several times more than my no-named fitted rifter. Amazing. This has been a lesson of how a professional fleet should operate. Kudos to the instructors, to the FC, to the support Agony pilots and to the rest of my class mates for making this a memorable day. I will be repeating the course soon to fix all the material on my head... before enrolling in the wolfpack course of course. See you soon guys.

A small question. I see in the Killboard that I am listed in 5 kills (3BS, a Falcon and a pod, wow). I do remember taking part in the webbing, pointing and shooting of those ships (yep I have done some minuscule amount of damage with my tiny cannons), still, I didn't get any killmails in game. I have just checked again, nothing. Does anyone know why is that?.

Only the person who gets the final blow gets the actual killmail ingame.

Hey guys, I had a great time on the class. Braedan, thanks! Your instruction was clear, concise, informative, i learned a lot from it. Ripard, great FC'ing, there wasn't a time when i didn't know what i was supposed to be doing, you were always clear and calm, even when half the fleet was SB'ed haha. One thing i was amazed at was the level of detail of recon and scouting done by the other agony pilots so thanks to all you guys. I hope to fly with you again, roll on wolfpacks! Cheers, Oceax

Great class! It was absolutely worth staying up till the end (about 4:15 AM local time). Big thanks to all the instructors. Great job on the theory and the practical part. And thx to all the agony pilots who came along. Oh, and last but not least, kudos to all the other students. I have to admit that I didn't expect such a good performance from everyone. The highlight was definitely the carrier "kill". Thx for a great class. Shallie

A follow-up on my earlier feedback: I finished the class when we docked at the Agony station deep into 0.0. So I logged in this afternoon to fly back by myself to Empire space. At one of the gates I warped right into a bubble a Falcon started to run a jammer on me, My first reaction was "ok I'm fucked" and then I remembered what you told us - rule 1 - don't panic, stay calm. I AB'd out of the bubble and warped to the nearest planet, grabbing a bookmark in mid-space, warped back to that and then grabbed a further bookmark from that one to another planet. With a bit of patience and my new know-how of how to use the Scanner, I figured out when he got bored and went to (I think) another gate and I happily warped and jumped my way back to Nonni. So your training has already saved my noob butt once, many thanks! 8)

Another terriffic class! I want to emphasize that I think the smartbombing incident (a) wasn't the result of mistakes -- sometimes one gets caught is all, and (2) I think it was a terriffic lesson. I'm a lot more conscious of SB's at this point. Braeden -- excellent job as usual! :} SPecial thanks to Skrewed, who did a really excellent CovOps/Recon section and to A-???? -- who ferried half the fleet from Nonni back to rejoin the first fleet. Again thanks.
