You didn't think kids talking about how terrible Skrillex is was funny? Milan Kundera wrote a very nice passage about classical music and the amnesia of guitar. I'll post the quote up once I get home. It's pretty relevant.

Yeah that's right, Skrillex is terrible. He ruined dubstep. That's why he has millions of people listening to him waiting impatiently until he makes a new terrible crap sound. Next argument: those millions must be deaf, or idiots. Do you people say these things to feel old on purpose or something ?

Will his music pass the test of time ? Probably not. Did he, in my opinion, make some really crappy sounds, too ? Absolutely. But maybe there's someone somewhere that actually liked those sounds, and I'm kind of cool with that.

Is there a lot more good artists around to listen to instead of pointing out how crappy his sounds are ? Yep. Derailing the subject a bit, but I like to make my points with some material

it's funny how different everyones background is.... let alone knowing who skillrex is -- i have no clue I also don't know wtf is dubstep... sounds like a koldz alt? ... off to watch pointless vids and get edumacated....
