Thanks for coming to class, we hope that you all enjoyed it and found it informative; we'd love to hear feedback both from first timers and alumini. Remember that you can return to any BASIC class and/or roam as alumni for free. Many thanks to all the AGONY pilots who helped out with teaching and admin support.

I felt the class was really well organized and presented in an efficient and engaging manner. There was a lot of course material to cover and I'm personally glad that the instructors were able to keep the pace of the class moving forward while never letting anyone get lost in the avalanche of new ideas. I think it's worth mentioning that I found the instructors worked really well together; covering different topics and augmenting each other's lecture if something was seemingly unclear to the students--new voice, different approach, a more rounded understanding for us. All in all, really good class control made for a really good class. My two cents at least. I guess if at the end of the class the only complaint is that the quiz structure is inherently biased against the sausage fingered one can't say it was a bad class at all. The class was everything I expected it to be and I hope the roam is just as good.

Enjoyed it a lot; the approach is very technical which is something that is difficult to achieve at times. I like that there were multiple instructors, and everyone retained my interest for the full time. Thanks to everyone involved in setting it up, and indeed in conceptualizing and realizing the class format and substance.

Great Class, Even for someone like myself who has been working on PVP for the last few months with whoever will teach me anything. I like the Practical approch to fleet movement and other activities because most of people are hands on learners like myself. If I was to say one thing was that Some of the Info went by pretty quick I couldn't write notes fast enough and by the time we were on to the next topic and I had forgottened what we were talking about before. Might I suggest a Recap at the End of every section would be better for memory jogging and Learning Retention. I agree with the Sausage Fingers Comment above as well, I'm not a Quick Typer and knew the Answers to most of the Quiz questions but didn't have a chance against some of those "lightning Typers", Perhaps more "Practical" Tests (Haha GO ME!) would be better like say one after every break because Eve is about doing and not always about typing. It was a Great Class and I'm encouraging all the members of my Corp to attend as we will sponsor them to do so! I'm looking forward to your advaced classes and would love to see a regular scheduled Fleet Commander Program for some of us Patton Wannabe's. Excellent class folks, I had a great time. I had done very small gang pvp (5-7) and solo pvp before, but I'd never done large fleets, and it was a bit overwhelming for me in general! One comment about the roam - you may want to tell people a little more clearly about not calling jams/points/etc after the first few. I noticed people getting a little frustrated about that. Also, may wish to be slightly more clear on align/warp/j-word type stuff. After listening and getting used to Gant's style it was easy to follow him, but for those who may have never dealt with it, it was a little fast. Other than that, I had a great time, I can't wait until Wolfpacks and coming back on roams. Thanks again, I'll be recommending this to my hardcore carebear corpmates. :)

The roam was excellent, the only minor criticism I have about the seminar bit is that it sometimes got a bit confusing having that many teachers switching back and forth. It didn't bother me that much as alumni though so you'd have to ask someone who was taking the class for the first time about it I guess.

You will keep access to the material for the class in the wiki. You can always look that up as reference material. Chances are we will be using one or more practical tests like we did in this pvp basic together with quiz questions.

P.S. Again gratz on the scan test and you have credit for that covops class for "winning" the practical test as discussed Mike.

Great Class. I'm looking forward to Wolf Packs and probably any other classes I can get into. It was a good time. Disappointed that I missed the Roam. Once I get my DSL sorted out, I will be back as an Alum. -Rexorr

The class was a great combination of theory and practice, especially with the roam on Sunday. Nothing helps learning as living through the subject first hand. :D A big thanks to Agony and Alumni for a great experience. I learned a lot and everything is still settling into place. Flying back home in a hauler it felt so strange jumping without having a FC calling it. ;) If I could sum everything in one word it'd be: MORE! See you in wolfpack! Now, excuse me while I go nag my corpmates into taking the class themselves.

First of all big thanks for all AGONY pilots involved in the class. You're done an amazing job to provide us a great learning experience. The class section was very well done. The instructors cooperated smoothly to cover the materials in good detail. Ample time were given us to ask question, which were all answered. The only possible improvement I could think of is to arrange some student group-based practices for things like orbiting, scanning, etc., as for such a big class it's impossible for every student to practice with the instructor. The roam was exciting, intense but fun. I have only a little bit of solo pvp experience, and the largest gang I've been in before was a 3 punisher low-sec ratting group (with a total character age of less than 50 days), so fighting in a 90+ fleet was quite overwhelming to me. I often found it difficult to get key info (e.g. current orders to fleet) from voice comm. In particular I missed the calls for primary/secondary in at least 3 occasions, because either I was not at the scene (gate lag / still in warp) thus the name didn't register when they were called, or they were buried by recon/ewar calls and other chatter. I noticed several other people complaining not knowing the fleet destination, order or target. It would be nice if someone can type key orders from FC in text chat and/or repeated in vent, for people who missed it the first time. I think the situation did improve a lot after fleet reorganizing in Statcom. Other than that roam was great: the fleet moved and fought together, and the training on standing orders after warp / jump paid off on many occasions. Anyway, it was the best 12m isk I've ever spent, and I am looking forward to join future roams and other classes from AGONY. ux4 BASIC-20100130

Thanks to the Agony guys for this weekend. It was very entertaining and I learned a lot! The roam on Sunday was something compleately new for me, as an old care bear I did the pew pew in the past only if I'm got aggressed. So flying in a 90+ fleet was very, very tingly. The only thing I wan't criticise here is the same as some alumini said before, sometimes the orders where not clearly given, or targets where not announced. So for a player who is new to this it's a lot of work to keep the overview over the sceene and listen to Vent ... clear orders would help to do a little better. But in general it was great! Looking forward for the next few roames with you guys. Mou

Wow, that roam may have been the most exciting four hour block I have spent in EVE. There were so many things I was impressed with; the speed of the fleet movement, the organization of the FC in particular and the Agony guys in general (lag/slow pilots/skirmishers/the dead reshipping/returning/recon reports that's a lot of balls in the air and none were dropped), but what amazed me was the agressiveness of the fleet--we seemed to be moving faster, getting into position quicker, and ready to fight sooner, then fleets less than a tenth of our size. The class very much left me with a feeling that I want to know more, do more, and perhaps be a more useful part of fleet next time. ('use your head and be a better pilot' is a helluva ethos) Great fun, learned lots, and I can't wait to do it again!

Again, the roam was great fun. I suspect the reason that there was confusion about where to warp to next was simply that there were often a number of people speaking at once and often the recon's voices sounded somewhat similar to the FC's. All in all, great fun, will do again. I am so glad I can take part in these roams. When is the next wolfpacks??? ARGH! Cant wait!!!

The roam was great => the enemy isk destroyed was impressive.

The lag was unusually bad. If that tremendous latency becomes normal for Sunday roams then perhaps Agony can fill out a fleet fight notification for suspected systems (perhaps focus on entry point systems to 0.0 like MHC and near Reblier)=> I don't know if this is feasible/applicable for a 100 man "roaming" gang though...).

It should have been very educational for students to know that the stealth bomber bomb will not kill them if they are moving (EDIT or even if they're standing still http://agony-unleash...opic.php?157251 and explosion velocity has been/will be removed from bombs because it plays no role in the damage calculation). Since a stealth bomber seems to cost about 40m+ isk to fit, it really isn't worth the risk to engage a frigate fleet. If you're in a stealth bomber, you better be in warp less than a second after you decloak or you'll probably be dead.

Does/Will Agony offer courses for Stealth Bombers? (Are they included in the covops class?)

I would prefer more frequent bio breaks... And a quick stop in station could provide a welcome drop-off for loot as well as an easy repair.

It seemed like we had a lot of range issues with our DPS => anything 30+ km away was virtually immune to our fleet. Next time I think I'll bring a scram/web Taranis (though I really love the griffin :( and I'll miss the joy of jamming enemies; its all the more beautiful when you see them targeting you so you target them back and jam them before they ever get a lock.
Games are fun because of who you play them with.
If you're not having fun you're doing it wrong.
