Thanks for the class guys. I learned quite a bit from it. I really appreciate you guys taking the time out to help others it really shows a lot about your corporation and the kind of people that are in it. I learned alot from the basic course so I decided to sign up for your wolf packs course also. Thanks also to the alumni that attended.

Awesomeness, both me, Je5ter and Amoli really enjoyed it, kinda fun but also sad when the only way they seem to be able to deal with us is dropping caps lol.

Thank you all from AGONY that helped to make the class happen. The instructors were loud and clear, well organized. It was a good experience to fly with a big fleet. I really enjoyed listening to the comm reports, Bamar was clear and always gave enough information about our targets and what we should expect on arrival. Also he was really good at repeating warp points on vent so even the ones who missed the fleet warp could catch up easily. Also I would like to thank to the class helper pilots who provided intel and support roles in the fleet. good job guys, keep up the good work

Can't speak highly enough of the class, everything was explained clearly and repeated if needed. I was very impressed by the patience shown by all the agony pilots and not just the intructors and they did a great job of finding targets and holding them down down. One thing I would liked to of seen in the course was more explaination of the agro mechanics ( ignore that comment if it was covered during the time I dc'd ! ). Thanks again for the time and patience shown, great class.

Well done, excellent work by all instructors. I really envy you folks on patience :P . Any way, roam part was great but it was diminished by not knowing immediate area (couldn't connect scouts reports with our location)-kudos to Bamar for excellent leading. Will certainly come back for next ones. D.

Many thanks for the course. I was lol'ing hard after we got into that sortie with the cap fleet and got DD'ed by that titan. Kudos for the bomb exercise to demonstrate that a single bomb isn't the end of the world, seeing as that came up repeatedly throughout the roam. In general I would have liked more live-fire exercises, but what I really wish we could have practiced a bit more was switching primaries in a fight to break a tank. It was disappointing that we weren't able to break the tank of that cap fleet and had to withdraw. Oh well. Definitely signing up for the wolfpacks course next, and definitely want to come back for more roams as an alum.

You may want to download ombey's maps - print out the ones for a region that you'll be roaming in, and figuring out where is where becomes much easier!

The class itself was very educational, especially with the clear and thorough overview of angular velocity and orbiting mechanics. The only thing I could see doing is instead of just describing the ewar modules, perhaps allowing the students to use them out in space on each other just so that everyone sees what they do, and what it looks like when it's done to you. But at the same time I understand the issue of friendly fire, and more importantly just the logistics of organizing 70 people in doing such an exercise may be prohibitive. The roam itself was very fun for the most part. I would have enjoyed a little commentary on the scouting reports to just better describe the decision process for fc's on how to attack/when to attack. The aggression timer tricks on catching people at gates would make an interesting lesson as well. All in all I will be recommending this lesson to everyone else I know in game as it was well worth the time and isk.

Really really fun class, and educational as well! I've been playing for over 6 years, and while most of that time has been carebear high sec missions and mining, I've done a few ops in 0.0 The experience I got from this one class far outshines what I have done on my own. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see one of the things you can do in Eve (frig fleet roaming) and anyone who is on the fence about PvP. :)

I'm very thankful for last nights class, I think it was very educational. I especially enjoyed the live fire exercises and the spiraling practical. Communication was very clear and the instructors did an excellent job of covering as much of the course material as possible. Personally, I think it was a good balance between theory and practice. It certainly got me prepared for the roam that followed. I would not have mind seeing some more practicals during the class, but I understand it's somewhat hard to carry out with a big class like that. Nonetheless I was amazed by the amount of patience showed by the instructors, and I really liked how the students where given the opportunity to ask additional questions. As for the roam, I can't say enough how much I enjoyed flying with that fleet. The operating practice displayed by the FC and everyone in support / recon roles was nothing less than impressive. It gave an excellent view of how a big fleet should be commanded. The FC and recon pilots did a great job of telling us what to expect at each engagement and very clearly gave out tasks to the different pilots. The movement speed of the fleet was pretty high as it should be with an agile fleet like that. And still the FC gave anyone that was separated good means of rallying with the fleet. All in all nothing but praise from me. I will highly recommend this class to everyone. And look forward to the next opportunity to follow an AU class and fly with all of you. Special thanks to the instructors, FC, AU pilots, recon and alumni pilots that participated.

I had a ton of fun. You guys are definitely top grade professionals. Vent Comms were clear and concise the majority of the time and we stayed on the move constantly. Consistent action, very small downtime for breaks. Hopefully I can remember enough to bring some info back to my alliance currently engaged in 2 wars. You'll see me on future roams when available and in the next Wolfpack class! Thank you for the fun.

- Great class and roam. I learned a lot, I like to compare the volume of information to a fire hose. I hope I managed to take a couple of cups with me. I am looking forward to the Wolfpack class. - one note, can you be more specific next time as to what should be posted in the two chat windows. It seemed like a lot of the admin chat (where is the fleet, can I get a fleet invite, my vent is out, etc) spilled into fleet chat instead of staying in the AU_PVP_University channel. - Having the cov ops guys out was awesome. Do you normally have that many scouts out for a roam? That would be a pretty big investment by AU, genius for whoever came up with the idea of linking the two classes. - Thanks again. -RH

Many thanks for a great class. As an introduction to basics such as voice comms protocol and fleet movement it was great. As others suggested above, maybe in the future you could cover aggro mechanics in more detail. After 10 months of playing the game, I still don't understand them fully. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the class and will be attending your more advanced classes. Thanks once again o7

I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the class and roam we had. FC was top notch and great reaction when gang warping everyone out of that titan to minimize losses. Having a CovOp class at the same time and using them as scout alongside with Agony pilots seemed to work very nicely since we had a lot of scouts out and they covered a great deal of ground, so kudos to the CovOps class for making the roam even more interesting. I will definitely return as alumni on further roams, it was great fun!! One thing that you guys could maybe improve on was to do some kind of live switching of primary and secondary targets before the roam. Eg just say one of the Agony pilots are primary and then after 10 sec or so that Agony pilot can see if everyone has targeted him or not. Just repeat that by calling some primary switching and see if the class gets hang of it. I think this would have helped us a bit on that BS/Cap fleet we meet. Some more info on how aggression timers work in 0.0 should have been nice to. Anyways, great fun and a big thanks go out to all Agony members who made this happen!!!! 8)

A 'normal' class would only use Agony covops, so there would be far fewer (maybe 5 as opposed to 20). Obviously a covops class is difficult to run by itself (the only other way would be to organise an alumni roam to provide the practical for the class) so combining with a BASIC class is a natural choice.

Thanks for the feedback guys, keep it coming!

This class was a great experience, from the celebrity instructor at the start, to the doomsday death at the end (for me). Still, the best part was listening to Bamar interact with the various flavors of scouts and agony members. You guys are playing a different version of eve than I’ve experienced, and just listening to the efficient scout reports, and hearing Bamar process and react to them, was worth the price of admission. Thanks for the lesson and the example.

Class was great, lots of pew pew but that is what you get in Syndicate on a good day. :) Two things I noticed : 1. Not that much attention was put into the effective use of the overview. This meant people locking and shooting gates. In next classes some info about using different tabs and overview settings might be useful. It is only covered in the wiki as preparation at the moment. I believe some words need to be spent on it during class. As an added service you could make an overview file available for download. 2. Target calling. During the little skirmish with the BS fleet we met we obviously had a bit more on our hands then a quick gank. It might have been good to mention that in those cases it is best to sort your overview on name base instead or range or anything else. Small but important details I think.

Hi guys, just some food for thought. Since dropping supercaps on our AWESOME frig fleets seems to be a regular occurance, couldn't AU ask around for supercap support of our own and get our AWESOME frigs on a cap killmail? That would be beyond epic.

Awesome as always. With just a few pointers:
Aggro mechanisms within Null sec. I must of miss this during the course hence surprised when stuck at a gate. It should only take a few seconds to cover off.Switching primary/secondary - I though this went fairly well - DPS was probably not as high as it could have been due to the short range weapons being used. We might have just been a bit spread out to have rapid switching of targets to break the repping - would like to hear your thoughtsUsing the frig fleet as bait. Second time I've been on a roam and the second time someone has brought a titan to the party. Agony should consider having another fleet on standby just in case... just think of the major fleet on fleet action which could take place...
All in all - excellent, well worth sitting through the whole course again - even if just to get into the right mindset and radio comms for the roam. Would love to come along again, and can't wait for the wolfpacks course. Shame real life issues might have an impact (start eve time -23:00 - boy that's going to have to be an all nighter %-6 ).

I have been a bit ill the last few days but did manage to get a vid made up for this class. I missed the DD and the live fire bombing, but there is some decent footage of the cap hot drop in EZA.

Vid will be uploaded sometime tonight (US tz).
