May I ask when the attendees will be confirmed for the above course? I'd like to register for the upcoming Wolfpacks course and don't wish to do so until I can see that my registration for Basic has been accepted. Many thanks Carathas

Registration is typically handled about a week before the class. As always, patience is a virtue If you're on the cusp for the Basic enrollment and it hasn't been processed when wolfpacks opens up then your best bet is probably to sign up for wolfpacks, then if you don't get into the Basic let the Wolfpacks instructor know so that you can be removed from the Wolfpacks and given credit.

This here thread was just one someone created with a query, and is NOT a registration thread (emphasis for anyone else wishing to post here).

Unfortunately, the 23 May Basic class appears to be filled. The next scheduled class is on June 6 @ 1800 Eve time.

We are processing the registration now. Due to the patch, we can't pull payment info via the api so it will be another day or so before all the payment information has been processed and everything is finalized.

That's because they haven't checked who has payed, once they did that the ones who have payd will get wiki access. Just hang tight

That's the wiki's default error message. It should read "You don't have access to this page" or something like that, but for whatever reason it says something about ensigns. I get that message on some pages, even though I'm not an ensign.

Just hang tight. It takes a bit to go through and process all the payments and sign-ups, and the real limitation is only certain people can do it. If their RL is busy, things take a little longer. You'll definitely get wiki access well before the course, and honestly the material doesn't take that long to read through. Even if you read it through several times, it's not that bad.

Given the gate jumping bug currently inflicted on us by CCP which is MUCH worse if you're part of a fleet, is this course still going ahead? Obviously if CCP hotfix the issue prior to Saturday then no problems, but they are currently stating they can't reproduce the bug.

You only need to get through the lecture part to "pass" the class, and then you can always re-take it for free as alumni. I'm not sure how a typical lecture goes, but if it doesn't involve a lot of jumping around, i'd personally prefer to go ahead with the class - sans the pvp roam - rather than having to wait at least a month for the next class, and then hell knows how much more until the next wolfpacks class i can take... Yea i know patience is virtue, but having to wait another couple of months because of this crap is kinda ridiculous.

For the theory/practical portion of the class we do make a few jumps and this will let us know if there's going to be problems. If this bug is still there on Saturday and things seem unworkable, we'll reschedule the roam after the fix and invite everyone back. The roam is the real fun of the class, you'll get a lot of unhappy Agony pilots if there's no roam.

Referring to the bug: It's easier to reserve one night (as it will be for me) than two!! I'd rather reschedule than show up and having to leave after a couple of "should we reschedule? who wants to stay and endure it as long as possible?"-hours. Greetings, Prime

Well its really just a heads-up TBH. CCP have bugreports with logserver outputs and it looks like an unhandled exception so it SHOULD be fairly easy to identify the cause if not the fix.

It tells you where the exception is thrown. The actual thing that went wrong could happens miles of code earlier. I'd be surprised if they come up with a patch that actually fixes the issue by Saturday, they are still "narrowing down repro steps" last i checked...

The bug is very repeatable if you take a group of people through a gate at the same time. My alt has got stuck 8 times in the last 24 hours and that's flying solo so if the bug is still present on Saturday I think I'll give the class a miss. Its annoying given how long its taken me to get on a class but not half as annoying as waiting at every other gate for significant numbers of the class to relog

Great... half the class won't show up because it won't be "fun", the class will get canceled due to not having enough people, and the people who actually came to learn something will be screwed too :mistrust: C'mon man, at least stay through the lecture. The next class won't come any sooner if you skip this one - and you can always join the next class as alumnus anyways

Oh I'm still preparing as if the class is going to happen - just about to head off up to Nonni with stuff in a few minutes. You sure you don't need anything taking up there? Heh and I managed to persuade the wife to go see her mother this weekend too. Kids are going too which means I am free to do as I please. Hopefully its patched anyway as this must be killing 0.0 alliance PvP and we all know how important that is to CCP Personally I feel sorry for the rats as they must be taking a hell of a kicking right now !lol

I honestly can't think of anything i'd want to haul there, cause all i need there is frigs and fittings that fit in frigs I think i'm going to fly a Merlin for this class, so i'll just stuff one with my stuff and fly it there, and buy couple more on the spot... thanks for the offer though

I don't have any wars and the Caldari don't hate me enough to attack me so I'm just filling up an indy and putting it on AP. If someone wants to suicide gank it then good luck to them, they must be pretty desperate for isk !lol

Can't you ask a couple of CCP devs to tag along on the class - that should be a way to reproduce the bug...

Yes, if you are unable or unwilling to attend you will receive credit for a future class.

I don't think when CCP says they can't reproduce the bug that they haven't experienced. I think what they mean is they can't reproduce the bug at will. A "reproducable" bug is one where you know the situation when it happens and it happens everytime those conditions are met. Just like a controlled fire is not out yet, a reproducable bug isn't fixed, but that is the first step in fixing it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon for the sake of it being fixed.

Well it took me 7 attempts to haul stuff afk from Heimatar to Lonetrek. In fact Othran is still in space somewhere as I gave up the 8th time the game hung. It is definitely related to multiple people jumping at the same time and as such is naturally a lot worse in busy systems/routes. I can wander around low-sec Metropolis & Molden Heath for hours and hours without a hang as the population is so low. Take the main high-sec route from Heim to Forge and, as you can see, it causes multiple hangs. This was mid-afternoon when the server population is fairly low too... I guess if there's no patch by DT today (22/05/09) then it isn't going to happen this week Edit - if you're doing the theory part I'm coming along. You have another PVP-BASIC class in a week or so anyway so I could maybe tag along for the roam on that one if it doesn't happen this week.
