With all the ex-military around, I was wondering how universal, "A Message to Garcia" is to military curriculum. I've been out of the Navy for over a decade now, and I still find this motivating.

Never heard it while I was in the Army. Ofcourse I was in the Cav and as we all know if you aint Cav you aint sh1t.

What's it like in the cav in modern times? Is it primarily heavy armor?

Depends. I was in a line HA unit C 1/12 1BD. But theres also bradley units(maybe strykers now). Also sometimes we would combine and put 2 bradleys with 1 tank and do hunter killer missions which were alot like roaming in Eve.
