One of the most challenging skills to master in EVE is the ability to scan down targets wherever they may be in a system quickly enough to catch them. Despite having a basic primer on use of the ship scanner in one of the earliest AU classes, I note that no full-fledged course exists to teach advanced scanning techniques.

Although written guides exist here and there, I think a full seminar followed by class participation (not unlike the cap support and bombers classes) would be met with great enthusiasm and significant enrollment.

Areas of interest:

Tips to rapidly reduce radius for scanning targets and how to use the solar system map. How to use recon probes effectively. Techniques for scanning down war targets in their mission hubs.

Stay tuned - our new Covert Operations Faculty is working on the materials and getting instructors trained. We need to fine tune things with internal Agony classes first, but there will be courses offered as soon as we can do it with the quality you'd expect from us.

I am sure most in AU have heard but apparently CCP is going to be changing scanning. I am certain that this will greatly impact the COVOPS class.

We're certainly watching developments - we'll be on Sisi and testing as soon as something eventuates.
