Note: This class will be a very limited enrollment with only 13 public student slots and 2 Agony students. and is geared towards the newer covops pilot. As such the class will be tailored to the younger covops pilots but would be still be a good review for the old hands as well. The class will meet in ESA at the start and proceed into nullsec with the entirety of the class occuring in nullsec. The class will be heavy on practical demonstrations and work, and if you screw up, there is a real possibility of you losing your ship. There will be a few staged exercises but we may also be heading out into deeper reaches of nullsec and at the end of class, you will be offered the opportunity to test yourself and your skills with an exercise wherein you will likely have to evade multiple hostile forces and retrieve a few items. This is a real trial-by-fire, folks, so don't sign up unless you're ready to dive in the deep end and start swimming.

You will be required to show up in a covert ops frigate, not a stealth bomber, and have a Covert Ops Cloaking Device II as well as an expanded probe launcher (Sisters launchers are recommended) w/ 20 each Core and Combat scan probes. While the remainder of the fitting is up to the student, there are some recommended modules and fittings in the reading material.

If you do not meet the minimum skill requirements, do everyone a favor and do not sign up. If it becomes apparent that you do not meet the reqs, you will be asked for an API during class and if you have not met the minimums, or refuse to submit the limited API on request, you will be booted from class with no refund and the locals will be informed as to your whereabouts for having wasted the instructor's and the other students' time.

Make sure you are prepared for the course and have arrived ahead of time. Instructors will not wait for late or unprepared students. Instructors will assume you have read the materials and if you haven't you will be lost very quickly. If you are more than 10 minutes late for class, you will be credited (NOT REFUNDED) and your spot will be given to the first available alternate.

Livia - Livia Catarella (PANTA) I attended a CovOps course once before and had a rather frustrating night of it. Not because the instruction was bad - quite the contrary: it was excellent as usual! However, my flying abilities and tactical understanding sorely lacked. So I would like to give it another go now, as flying CovOps professionally has been a goal of mine from very early on. As a paying student, of course.

I've just been notified of a change of plans on my customer's side. As a consequence, I'll have to take an early morning flight tomorrow instead of staying home. Which means that I'll have to drop out, I'm afraid. Please keep the course fee as a mini-contribution to Agony's excellent teaching activities. I'll sign up again for another course when (not if) time permits. In the meantime, have fun, people, and give 'em hell!
