Thanks for coming to class, we hope that you all enjoyed it and found it informative; we'd love to hear feedback both from first timers and alumini. Remember that you can return to any BASIC class and/or roam as alumni for free. We welcome feedback to tweak our classes as we go. Many thanks to all the AGONY pilots who helped out with teaching and admin support.

good class. you could tell it was a new syllabus or method of teaching or something; but, all in all it was very informative for a younger player. also a number of good points and tips for experienced players. well worth the isk. GJ! I will be sending all of my pilots through this course...if i ever get around to recruiting again...

Greetings: Thank you to all of the instructors. The course was well laid out, broken into various sections covering various portions of fleet-based PVP from fleet balancing to safe spots to aligning, to manual flight with spiraling, missiles vs. other turrets, and using the directional scanner. I've a lot to soak in, and I'm looking for the roam tomorrow. All of the instructors where professional on vent, they did not put up with goofing off, and where polite throughout the process. The web site wiki for basic covers a lot of information as well from how to fit your ship for the fleet / gang / roams, ewar, and more. Thank you again!!!!

Overall, well put together. I do have one suggestion though, as it seems spiraling did confuse a good number of people, I wouldn't think it outside the realm of possibility for an agony pilot with decent video making skills to make a How to: video for students to watch after the instructor explains it. The pictures on the wiki help, but afaik it wouldn't be that difficult to throw together, and imo would help the general class population alot. Looking forward to the roam... i'm actually solo roaming 0.0 atm anyhow :P

PVP Basic: Where to start? Ok from the beginning, you hear about this basic PVP School, and love them or hate them, the school gets rave reviews. Then you check them out, their web site is professional, solid, intriguing, and you get a good feeling this is the real thing. Then the HOOK, you realize you’re sold, you’re going to go to PVP Basic, followed by Wolf packs and and and, oh crap, they have more stuff, really good stuff, and you’re not going to see it unless you are lucky enough to get into Agony itself. Not an easy task. You decide to go for it, you read the post about how to apply for PVP Basic, and you are online waiting to hit that button and sign up. DAMN! That was fast, forum is closed, people are going nuts, “Did I get in” “Did I not get in” you just follow the directions and just go pay real quick in case you did. You’re in, now the wait. You keep cruising the Agony site waiting for the PVP Basic Material to be released, and you realize just the stuff in the free Public section is better than any of those Eve E-Books you paid real money for online. You wait, and wait, and all you can think about is I’m going to know PVP. Material is released; this stuff is good, really good. Things like Overview, Game Mechanics, Ship Fits, all start to make sense. Even Vent, something you are familiar with is suddenly broken down into the “advanced” basics and you know more about it than the guy that used to help you with it in WOW. Now you really can’t wait, you study and study, and wait. Game day, PVP Basic the class, you know the cross-section that comprises EVE, you know hard it is to maintain class control, let alone teach anyone anything, and you are expecting a fight to drive out the chaos. It doesn’t happen, sure some folks test the boundaries, but the instructors are firm, polite, and take control. Then it happens, The Fun, you learn, really learn the stuff you read about. When and if someone gets stuck, it gets turned into a learning opportunity for the whole class. This is Stellar, Professional, Corporate level training. You know you’re in good hands. (And as tomorrow you’re going 00, that’s a good feeling to have). Tomorrow is the Roam, so much to remember, so much to practice, you’re glad for the two day spread on the class. You fall asleep dreaming of Kill-Mails, knowing this time; you might just be on the right side of that. Improvements: None that you haven’t heard, more time in class etc. But you’ve nailed it for the basics so that would just be an added bonus. From a Marketing Perspective: You have generated some real interest at this point; you have showed folks their weak spots. You could definitely sell to that, I’d buy. Follow up item specific classes, for difficult areas.

Great job by the instructors... You guys are true professionals: In fact, some of the courses I attended at work were a lot less professional than that ;) The course pace is very good. Only thing tho, I would have thought we would have had time to practice more (especially that spiralling thing). But hey there's still tomorrow ! I can't wait :amazed: Kudos to you, and thanks for all the hard work. You put a lot of time into this and it shows.

I'd like to take a moment to post on something the insructors said during the class that I now believe to be very true. The theroy is nothing compared to the experience... I'm roaming 0.0 for fun in a merlin, scan down a vexor, warp to it, scram it, web it, start shooting it. Spiraling, and then I realize it isn't shooting me, i'm in point blank range, with no cap all of a sudden, lose my web and scram and turrets, warrior II's come out and I go pop. Neuts are evil! :) But yeah, nothing is better than the actual experience. :D

I thought it was a fantastic class. Personally, I already knew much of the theory being covered, but it was good to get a refresher - especially when you can see some of it in action in a controlled environment. I thought the instructors handled the entire thing very professionally - the environment was just formal enough to carry the message across, while never feeling anything less than relaxed. I'm looking forward to the roam tonight, and will certainly be signing up to the next wolfpacks course without hesitation.

Didn't I tell ya those were mean? :) Know neut range for the class of ship you're tackling and stay out of it! If you can't reach inside that range to put on the hurt, leave the target alone and go find another. Pick your fights.

Outstanding instruction! It let me really understand the use of the D-Scanner. Also the practice runs on the spiral approach drove home the idea to never coming straight to target in 99% of circumstances. Instructors very professional when they had to be and very approavhable and light whenever they could. I most certainly look forward to attending many other classes in the future. Thank you PS Insane roam!!! Words escape me. FCing, scouting everything near perfection. Kudos to Agony pilots. Never seen anything as good.

Look foward to the day that you can kill a neuting vexor in a frigate =), experience works in a few ways, not only knowing who not to attack, but also how to handle yourself if shit hits the fan. Trust me first time you pull off something like that its what makes eve the game it is for me. Still eventualy you'll find yourself trying to take down BC's and beond in that trusty little merlin (my personal craft is a taranis). although a word of warning, if you start trying to solo capitals in a frigate its aiming a little high - still may lead to a nice kill for your gang just avoid the smartbombs =p

Frigging Carrier DOWN. That's not school, That's Living large! Agony you guys really bring the Fun Fragthis Son of Panabas (BTSM)

Wow. First a big huge thanks to the scouts/skirmishers as always. About the only bad thing I can say about that roam was that I stupidly got lost on the way home and took 10 extra minutes (I had carelessly left my autopilot settings in carebear mode.) Olozim, the FC, was awesome. For a first-time performance that was truly remarkable. He made the other poor dumb bastards die for their corp instead of sending us into a meat grinder for the lulz. That's what it's all about imo. He also did the 'little' things right, like making sure we all had top-notch leadership bonuses, instead of just sticking an agony skirmisher (who would rarely be in system to pass bonuses) as squad leader. /Brag on Well, I'm all about the firsts. 8 Podkills. 1 other KM. Highest number of kills in fleet. First carrier km I've been on (and 2nd highest damage dealt in fleet, anyone who thinks frigate DPS doesn't matter should study that km.) First bounty collected (Thanks Graveknight! 15M, woot!) /Brag off First classroom session I didn't learn something new (though very well done, as always.) Guess I've 'graduated' to just coming on the roams. I DID learn something new on the roam, that I was 100% wrong to say that having angular velocity on overview is more important than having alliance on overview. The alliance column came in very handy and I can now see its benefit. This was my last roam before my per/wil remap ends. I can't wait to start training int/mem stuff (overheating ftw.)

Good job on the FC. As long as you listen to the very sound advice from the fleet about holding your push-to-talk a few seconds longer so the endings are not snapped off, you are doing a great job in general and an amazing job for a relatively young FC. Keep it up. Oh... and... Carrier killz? Get moar!

AkJon (top post of this page) was my nemesis on this roam because he out-whored me on killmails! AkJon, I wondered how you got all those pod kills so I looked up the Dramiel stats. Turns out it has a higher scan res (990) than any frig except for CONCORD frigs! The only player ship that beats it is the Claw. So we can add that to the list of things CCP will be nerfing on that awesome ship someday :( I'm just jealous that I didn't bring mine. I was scared to lose >100m faction frig on a BASIC roam :P Often we DIAF so I thought I'd play it safer. I'll brag a bit, too. I took more initiative than usual on this roam. When the whole fleet was primarying a Myrm, I scooted over to tackle the carrier. Once he went into triage, I tackled the Domi until I got relief. I then went up and *mostly* soloed an Omen. I had brought my Vengance as heavy tackle and it worked well: nano'ed with dual prop it was quick but sturdy. Olozim did a great job, especially for his first teaching roam. A few comments (constructive I hope!): At one point I was a little worried FC was going to warp us on top of a BS that may have had smarts, but the BS warped off first. But he may have had the situation covered; I'm not sure since we never made the warp. It was a sniping BS so *probably* didn't have bombs. FC had a tendency to release his push-to-talk button before he finished, so some orders weren't clear. FC gave a few orders too late, but not catastrophes resulted :) But FC has so much to think about these are really minor. I'm pretty sure I couldn't pull it off myself. Great work, Olozim! As you can see, I really enjoyed this roam.

Excellent FC and support crew. Very impressive in moving the fleet around, coordinating targets, and keeping most everyone alive. The best part about the FC was there wasn't any yelling and putting anyone down. You guys know what you're doing, you're in control and it's all business, all while being fun. Excellent course, I look forward to taking another in the future.
