I see a lot of the corp accounts say stuff like "Authorized members only" or "With so and so's permission." How does that work? When someone references that account does Agony check with that person or does that person have to make a post in the enrollment thread stating that they approve or what?

It would be nice if it did work that way, but realistically 95% of people wouldn't post, and the admin load involved in chasing up each account owner to ask whether their student has permission would be prohibitively high. In practice, it's mainly for your benefit. If your corp account says 'get X's permission' then go ask X before you use it. If X turns up and says you don't have permission, you don't get to use the account.

I am going to assume the answer to this is going to be no but what the heck, what if an officer was to sign up the authorized members for them? Of course they would need their own account on this forum but still.

To keep things fair, we don't allow people to sign up for others - if they want to be on the class, they need to be online when registration opens like everyone else.

Fair enough, just figured I'd check. :-)
