On a side note regarding my wife who was also diagnosed with cervical cancer earlier in the year, she too has been fully cleared without the need for chemo or radiotherapy as she had a hysterectomy and all the cancer was succesfully removed.

me likes good news :D

That's great news Feline. To be honost it was hard for me to stay upbeat and give you positive encouragement on vent because I had lost my mother to cancer a few years back. I'm glad to hear of your father's success and wish you and he the best of luck. For everyone else, remember to call your parents and tell them you love them.

Had a phone call from my mother today, the doctors have done their regular checks on my dad and things as normal, camera down his throat and stuff and there are no new tumours, and the original one has dissapeared and they have told my dad that he is now in remission. So basically the cancer is gone 'for now'. He will be going for more check ups once a month, and he should have his voice back in about 2 months, and the stomach tube will come out next month too. Just wanted to keep you informed :D

Glad to hear! ... lol at the gate camps... no more ransomes
