The Eve-O forums just got shut down to implement some fixes. Recent spamming of porn and key-loggers is to be addressed. If you've clicked on any Eve-O threads that look dodgy, and particularly if you've followed links from those threads, I suggest you do a scan of your system to check for key-loggers. Even if you haven't followed links, a scan wouldn't hurt.

I did click on one of the Audrey Bitoni threads although I didn't update anything as some people on the Eve-O forums are suggesting you need to do for the keylogging to be effective.
Reading this thread I did have the msxm192eve.dll on my system so deleted it along with the approriate registry entries.
Another thing I noticed was that Eve was still running in the task manager even though I didn't actually have it running, this hasn't happened since deleting the .dll etc... Trying to get the issue resolved so should be interesting to see if my account has actually been accessed or not.
I had ran system scans but they didn't bring up anything was wrong.

I hope you manage to get it all sorted soon, lets hope your account hasn't been accessed, or if it has been then i hope nothing is missing. Even tho i hate to say it, but it does sound like your account has been accessed.

ouch ... well if you have original account details (i.e. details you provided when you registered it) there is a very decent chance that you can get it back, however, i heard that they do not return assets if those have been taken

Bit of a kick in the balls unfortunately, account ban was lifted and I've been effectively cleaned out. Everything has been sold off on contract and sell orders and isk deposited into some guys account. GM's have transfered isk back into my account. In reality I've no idea how much I've lost though, although losing isk isn't the problem, after 3 years or so and getting cleaned out from items, ships etc.. is a huge pain. Bottom line, it's a game, shit happens. On a funny note, I remember losing my first ship in a mission when I first started playing, felt ten times worse than this, lol. Anyways, keep vigilant folks, hopefully only one dumbass in this thread will have been stupid enough to have fallen victim to the keyloggers. %-6

That sux - hope you're back on your feet soon. We can always get you some stuff from the corp hanger to keep you running. Bamar's said that this is a time for carebearing and getting some ISK together, I'm sure some of your corp mates will be able to help you get back on your feet.

Just a little update on this as I see I didn't add it in but just want to add CCP were excellent regarding this. After I got my account reopened I sent a quick thanks and short note to the GM responsible as he/she'd apologised for the delay in getting it sorted. Basically wishing them all the best in getting the problem with the keyloggers solved and saying how it can be such a huge setback after playing for a few years. Thanked them for a great time as I wasn't sure if I'd continue playing but hopefully I'd pick myself up and get back into it. Anyhow, next day got another reply thanking me for my kind words and as what I assume to be a goodwill gesture decided to give me all my ships back (minus fittings and rigs) due to them being sold at such undermarket prices. Got them all back minus my CNR that had been sold via contract and while the loss was substantial it wasn't sold for a ridiculously low amount. Needless to say this was huge bonus to get me back on my feet so have been getting re-established this last few weeks with fitting and so on. Anyhow, just thought I'd blow CCP's trumpet on this one. Edit: Baka, thanks for the offer, missed it earlier but I'm doing good again.

That's nice Josiff. There are some very loud people blowing steam over GM actions on the EVE forums, from time to time. It must be a nice change to see someone appreciate their work.
