Thanks Vora and Tank for the fast answers. The rest of my questions will go to the trainer, but for now I think I have all the info I need to get to the class as prepared as a noob can be.

If you hop on vent and no one pops in to say hello try dropping a note in the AU_University in game chat channel I know I keep that on my chat channels. For the overview, best to save all the channel settings and then you can load them quickly or not during the class when that material is gone over. Not sure about the lag questions...

In BASIC, you'll use the Hydra principle, so you'll distribute the ewar roles around. Tackling, skirmishing and FCing will be done by Agony, but the rest is done by students. Best thing is to bring your basic setup as advised and a couple of alternative modules (such as a rifter with both scram and web, but also point and tracking disruptor). At the fleet formation, people might be asked to fit a different module to distribute the ewar properly, but don't worry about that too much, it'll be taken care of professionally by the Agony guys.

Thanks DaDude, FYI for others when I tried to cut and paste the ventrillo info it said invalid password. When I typed it in it worked. Not sure if I fat cut but just a heads up if you have the same error. Krute

Oh dear, it looks like I had mistakenly thought this class was on a Friday, not Saturday. It looks like I won't be able to make it. Obviously I do not expect a refund. However my spot can go to someone else. Enjoy the class everyone! Perhaps I will be able to participate soon. MJ

Make sure there's no training space when you cut/paste. That bit me when I took my first Basic course.

I also will not be able to make it. My 2 1/2yo is going on her first Easter Egg hunt. Try as I might, I just can't seem to justify missing it for the class(its a close call though, lol).

Really sorry but I am not going to make it home on time for the course Easter weekend and real life stuff I'm afraid. I am seriously disappointed, been looking forward to this course. Yeah Fassin was given permission by myself and Copter to enroll. My moderation rights are not setup right in this forum yet so I couldnt edit the OP to reflect his enrollment.
