Just wanted to drop by and say 'Hello' to everyone here, AGONY and guests. I've been carebearing EVE for over a year now, and it's time I became the tip of the spear instead of the ass-end of a mission Drake or a Hulk. I'm taking a break from EVE during Lent (I know, it's kinda corny but it IS a sacrifice! =)), but after Easter I plan on enrolling in the April PVP-BASIC course. I'm considering applying to join AGONY after that, but for now I'm looking forward to the training course. While I wait, I'm catching up on some much-needed PvP skills for my character =). You can still be a Carebear, as long as your a bloodthristy one who is only satisfied with the blood and pain of it's peers. Hmmm... I suppose on some level that sounds disturbed..What's a PvPer to do? Load the guns!

Thanks all for the warm welcome! I suppose I might as well tell you a little more about myself. As I mentioned, I've been playing EVE for a little over a year having spent three years playing that other MMO on and off until I just couldn't stand the ridiculous grind any longer. I fell in love with EVE the moment I started playing, and I've been looking to learn as much about different aspects of it as I can. Like many others, I was thoroughly lost the first few months as I struggled to figure out what I wanted to do. In the end, I decided I wanted to PvP, but that I needed to focus on having a solid ISK-earning capability to pay for my PvP ship consumption. So I started a second account and created a mission-running character that is now easily cruising through L4's in hisec and making nice money. With that now accomplished, time to turn my attention to doing what I really wanted. In RL I'm a software developer, building web apps for various small and large businesses. In a past life I was in the Air Force testing combat missiles and training pilots in missile and combat tactics. In a very real sense, I was a member of AGONY's RL counter-part, which is why this corp drew my attention as soon as I found out about it. I love learning new stuff in EVE, developing new tactics, and sharing those with whoever cares to listen. -Drac
