Ill be honest, when I was told what your setup was going to be I loled a bit. Mainly at the golems. (I can't help but laugh when someone says golem in terms of pvp..) But you proved my laughing was premature. It worked. congrats You guys get intel on their setup? You definitely fielded the perfect setup for facing theirs. Was an absolute flawaless win (despite the ishkur.. which losing a frig hardly ruins the flawlessness of your win ) so yeah. very good job. Congrats. Awesome job. Yadda Yadda. Good luck next fight. They ran the 4 domi setup twice before - we were banking on them running that or a variation. They were banking on us using apocs again and had all amarr racial jammers on the griffins.

Once again our opponent didn't bring a terrible setup, they were unlucky we had the right counter.

So far I've seen very few fail setups, most would be excellent against certain setups and have just been unlucky with what they saw on scan a few mins before the match.

Ash nearly missing the fight due to a 45min reboot had us very worried though

Also the osprey navy issue is fast and gets double missile bonus instead of mining and shield rep.

We tend to make sure our machines have been rebooted in the hours before the match just to ensure no other running programs to cause a crash or disconnect (better safe than sorry and all that).
Ash didn't come back for about 45 mins and we had people scrambling around to build another ship for the standby pilot in case he didn't make it.

A bit nailbiting but we would have still fielded all 10 ships

Tomorrow will be lots of fun.

Ash is famous now !lol Thanks everyone for cheering us on. We were expecting more stabbers and hardened more for explosive than em/thermal. Even if we had gone more for all-around resists it might not have been enough. Evoke brought a lot of dps on us with that Abaddon. Great fight and glad we got to the quarter-finals to fight against the previous tournament winners. With that, I'm very relieved that its over. You have no idea how busy I've been with the tournament for the last 3 weeks :sad:

Nice showing guys, I enjoyed watching the touney and I enjoyed seeing you do well. Also, the Vigil Hero Issue and suicide in the end was hilarious .... great stuff. Now take some rest and then start a new basic PVP class in EU time zone so I can put my SP to use on some PVP for a change.

Ash won money suiciding - I lost money. Bleh, out 100 mill backing AAA and out another 100 mill betting against PL. My fave final would have been AAA vs. Agony - then ofc I would not know what to bet on, but, never mind, I would be happy with the outcome.
