Hi gals and guys, looks like we're hiring. Yeah, in this "down economy" - our sector's actually doing pretty good, thankyouverymuch. Who are we? Global net security firm, main office in Europe, with US offices in Hartford, Boston, NY, Chicago, LA, Kansas City, I'm probably forgetting a few Who am I? Senior Consultant at said firm, based out of Hartford What do we need? Aha! The meat'n'potatoes! We need someone to do firewall/VPN installs and carry a break-fix pager. We expect: - Basic TCP/IP knowledge. You got to know your basics, it takes too long for us to teach those. We will tell you (in detail if you get in touch with me) what it is we're looking for, so if your answer is "I can learn it in x weeks" and you can prove that, then WE WANT YOU - Enthusiasm for network technology and security. We want, for want of a better word. geeks. You gotta want to learn, so you can soak it all up and move on up and we can hire the next junior install/break-fix guy to replace your old position. - If you've ever worked with Cisco or Juniper firewalls / VPN devices before, that's great, but it's not a must. We can teach you the specific tech if you have the basics and, more importantly, YOU HAVE THE DRIVE - We need you in the East Hartford office - this position is local. And what do we offer? - An "in" to the IT security industry. - A team of highly motivated, highly knowledgeable security consultants whom you can glom onto and sponge all the knowledge from that your brain can hold - All the cool gear in the lab - Juniper, Nokia, CheckPoint, BlueCoat, F5, Cisco; firewalls, IDP, routers, switches, network access control, content control, load balancing, VPNs, SSL VPNs, IPv6 - if it's even vaguely related to network security, we probably have a version of it to bang around on Thanks for listening, if this sounds like you, send me a PM.
