Do be aware that freighters get routinely ganked in high-sec Empire a LOT more than they used to. Anything with cargo above around 500mill or so is quite likely to get ganked in 0.5 systems on the main Jita routes at peak times.

 

Also if you have an alt then use the duel system so he can web to warp you without the tedium of concorde sticking their nose in. Don't do it by taking from a can as this no longer does what you think it does - have a read up on the new criminal flagging system when you have some time and note that you can be legally podded (pod killed) in high-sec these days.

Thanks Othran! Fortunately, I've a freighter I can move stuff in, so once in empire space I can haul my stuff around no problem.

Watch your back around Uedama, it's the big freighter-ganking system in EU and US TZs. Niarja's not much better and you can't get from Lonetrek to Stacmon without going through one of them.

Anything two layers deep (container in a contract package or contract in a contract) is unscannable, but that's not the safe haven it once was. If you're carying enough that you want to hide the value then it's worth ganking, right?

Yeah pretty much anything that can't be scanned in a freighter will attract attention - goons always gank in those instances if they have the numbers.

Note to self: use freighter for all the high volume t1 stuff, and leave the expensive stuff for the blockade runner and t2 shipa

Just ensure your gear isn't worth more than about a billion ISK, or your freighter might go *pop* enroute.

Using a webber is also an option. You can warp a freighter in a few seconds that way.

How is it to relearn EVE these days? I have had my urges to reactivate too, but so far I just have had some minor sessions when CCP gratius gave up a few free days, not enough to get a feeling for all the new stuff going on...

 

But, the urges resurface from time to time, so who knows. :-)
