my vent highlight of the roam . . .

07:23 Caldak: alright boys, we'll see if we can get one more engagement as we go out
07:45 Caldak: ok, we'll wrap this up by 08:00
08:17 Caldak: this'll be our last engagement then we'll follow the yellow brick road home
08:22 Caldak: alright, gents, this is the last one, then we're out
08:28 Caldak: one more kill, then we'll be even steven. Maybe we have to choose one of the students . . .
08:42 Caldak: right, this will be the last op for the night
08:56 Caldak: someone just check Ostingelle, see if we can get that firing in
09:09 Caldak: nothing like killing pirates to make you feel good

. . . we did get that last kill in, and even saved Aether's malediction. Thanks especially to Caldak, The AEther, Sofai, and Lorn for navigating us through all kinds of technical difficulties. A class act.

I'm going by memory here as I didn't write it down and no longer have access to the Agony internal forums. Last year when the corp was moving, some people thought the move would change the corp identity or something (I thiink it was the move to low-sec FW.....although it might have been the "vacation" idea in Syndicate). Itko wrote something like: "I can go to Thailand, look at the sights, sample the food, and fuck the locals. I'm pretty sure that doesn't make me Thai."

I am very bad at remembering some stuff literally so I'll paraphrase a couple I remember:

Miss Granger: Guys, it's really late here, so I'm gonna go to bed soon
Some Agony pilot: ah cool, we're good for another hour then yet
<skip 30 minutes>
Miss Granger: okay, I'm really going to bed now
Some other Agony pilot: let's see if we can get you a kill in the next 30 minutes and stretch it into an hour yet

I think it was a PVP U roam, not sure who has FC and skirmisher

FC: Anybody has has a target?
Skirmisher: Yeah, there's a Raven here.
FC: Where are you in relation to him?
Skirmisher: I have a point on him.

Yeah, my usual was finally going to bed about an hour after first announcing, normally due to people getting tackles on things and me staying "just to help on this last kill"

Oh there's a shitload of fun pirate stuff. In some backup set somewhere I have a recording from Space Invaders days when we ransomed someone and instead of iskies got him to sing a pirate song. He chose Friggin In the Riggin (Good Ship Venus is the traditional name) and it was so funny I remember giving him money which isn't the way it should work
