I really enjoyed having you all in class today! I thank you again for your patience with my communication issues :( So frustrating but we survived! Sorry I didn't get ya'll ganked in hisec! This was a terrific class, coms discipline was perfect and ya'll moved together during our practicals almost like you've been doing it forever!

This class I tested out a slightly different approach to the same material that we always cover in a Basic class, in that I focused more on the *roles* each pilot flies and what the FC expects of each pilot in that role, and somewhat less on the technical specifications of the individual modules. I would like it if you would let me know if you liked that part of the class - if it made sense, if it helped prepare you better to understand what to do during the roam, and to better understand the part you play in the fleet. Obviously you might not be able to comment on that until after the roam!

I think I missed a few questions that were asked, for that I apologize - feel free to ask tomorrow before the roam. I'll be in voice about 30-45 minutes before the roam to answer any questions you have that were missed during class today, or that you didn't think of until later!

We went over a lot of material and managed to run only 12 minutes late! Think that is a new record!

I will update this post after tomorrow's roam with info about the roam.

We welcome your feedback - good, bad, indifferent. So let us have it!

--------------------------

So the roam was a bit quieter than we'd have liked - would have been nice to have more explosions! But the pacing of it wasn't bad, we didn't wait TOO long between kills. It was just a bit hard to find gangs to fight ... nothing wrong with the small kills of course! I believe we destroyed about 30 ships plus some pods total...

The bombers were out in force! I lost track fast how many bombs got thrown at us! We had a small gang of Rifters out playing bait for the main fleet which was mostly lost to bombs bombs bombs!

We had one particularly good fight which resulted in some nice kills and a good portion of the fleet in pods, half of the fleet podded back to Tanoo and the other half of the fleet in pods and noob ships in Esa, with a 25-system trip to regroup the fleet!

I think my favorite kill of the night was this Loki killthink he had enough sensor boosters? I believe it was also our most expensive kill.

Almost six hours of roaming later, we called it quits... sort-of... a handful of die-hards went out with me and learned quickly why GG sticks to organizing the fleet and not commanding it. We went into Curse and played station games with an Arbitrator and a target-painting T3 tornado who quickly put yours truly into a pod. Then we toyed with a rifter - all T1 fit! - that we couldn't catch for the life of us but eventually we DID make a pretty explosion out of him. I then took us back to hisec where we called it quits for real.

The fleet moved very well together, coms were perfection, and very few got lost. Was so much fun flying with all of you and can't wait to fly with you again soon! Many many thanks to all of Agony, our Alumni and our patient students for flying with us today!

What you do for yourself dies with you, what you do for others is immortal.

For the beginner who had never worked in a fleet this class is an invaluable tool! The tactics were clearly explained, bookmarking a safe area, etc... I am one of the lucky ones whose corp did teach me these things, and went on roams frequently. Excellent class will recommend to everyone who will listen to me. Great Job! Now when is the next class, bring it on!

I thought the explanation of the pilot roles was extremely interesting and valuable. You should definitely do that in all the Basic classes. Overall, superb training! I look forward to the roam and to future classes. Nice job Greygal and all the folks who provided support!

I definitely enjoyed both parts, the roam definitely helped in learning to better focus on what the fleet is doing so we an keep up. Only fell slightly behind once and misheard one order, though I think that may have helped get in early to one of those drake kills. One thing that I would have liked to see before the roam would be a list of ship types that would be higher priority than FC's primary/secondary for things like ECM, dampeners, etc. As one of the newer players, I'm still learning which ships play which roles where dampening would have been more effective. Other than that, I think it all worked out quite well. Thanks again.

One of few kills I missed out on as he wasn't even primary (the rapier was.) I saw him melting fast and frantically tried to whore the mail (since it's a t3 and not some random km) but to no avail.

We were a little too gunshy of bombers. I kept having to cancel fleet warp so I could shoot at them. But all in all, a good roam.

Great class. Seminar was vastly improved from the one I took in the past, and the roam was great even tho the playground was kinda empty, save the bombers.

In the midst of the roam my ship was replace with the model for the sun... This lead me to being blind for maybe 10 to 15 minutes. I took pictures. ^_^

For a newbie just getting familiar with the ins and outs of the game this class and is a must. The instruction, information, explanations, and interaction was great. I have never been part of a gang, a roam, in 0.0, nor have I ever engaged in any PVP combat. So for me this class stirred my hunger for more. The roam portion of the class was an excellent way to apply what was learned in the class. I was anxious, excited, on edge, and energized all at the same time. I will certainly be enrolling in every single class offered by Agony. I think now that I have basic under my belt I'm ready to join a corp and survive and just have fun playing the game.

This is what I love to see.
Fight them, sure.
Fight to win, always.
Just don't be dicks about it, as usual.
