hmm. all well and good and it's obviously still alpha, but the end result better have (advanced) search. As OS's have been transitioning into search-based UX away from hierarchical folder systems it seems eve has fallen in love with it. All well and good, but I'm not a fan, it effectively takes more clicks to get to what you want.

I don't understand the reasoning behind this. Why are they transitioning away from a visual hanger to a text based system? Humans are good with visual recognition. A huge list of text just once more adds to the eve as spreadsheets online image. The other sad thing is they are spending time reinventing the hanger/inventory system yet again when the core game UI needs more of a kick into the current century (bring back widescreen or high visual contrast mode behind the hud, dammit!)

My understanding is that this is simply a ingame version of EFT not a new hanger view.
