Thanks for coming students, alumni, and Agony support! Feel free to leave feedback here and let us know what we did well and what could have been better.

I enjoyed the roam even more than I expected. The Agony FC and support people really put on a good show of how things should be done. We had a good crew in our class and the fights we got into were great with everyone working so well together. I mostly took this class because someone I know who is new to PvP asked me to join them. I had been in a 0.0 corp roughly 3 years back (before I took a break from eve) so I was not sure how much it would help me. I found there were still new things to be learned in this course and I will suggest it to others. I am also now interested in browsing your curriculum for more advanced classes. My one suggestion on class structure would be to host a ship selection and fitting course as a separate class. There was discussion on this topic the first day and I felt like it was redundant to some and yet covered too little for others in our group. Very nice job Agony. And thank you to my classmates for the great roam.

I was told that the Agony classes were very well done and I'd learn a lot by taking them. This one met and exceeded those expectations. The class was well done and as a newer player I learned a good bit. The roam was unbelievably good. As a member of Eve Uni we're encouraged to just go out and do things so I FC a little. The way the fleet was run and especially how the Inties were used as scouts/skirmishers was an eye opening experience. I'll be looking out for a Wolfpack class for sure.

Just browsed through the kills I made while on that roam. Looks like not only a lot of expensive ships were turned to space dust but also some very expensive pods. Nice job all round I hope you all had as much fun as I had.

Fight them, sure.

Tremendous learning experience. Thank you. This was my (1) first (voluntary) pvp experience; (2) first roam in nullsec; (3) first experience flying in a fleet. Very intense. Learned how dangerous a frig fleet can be, when well FC'd, & supported by a thoroughly professional Agony skirmish squad. Awesome killboard, ( even if not usual). Re: (3) above: possibly should have a short pre-class read on how to fleet up, or a few minutes at the very beginning of the class. (Some of us did not even know where the "fleet" window was found on the U/I, when we started.) Thanks again.

A question I meant to ask during class. Are we free to use the fleet tool? I could see where that would be really helpful.

Absolutely loved it. the class was great and i liked the way we were out in space as the lecture took place. It helped me concentrate a little more. The roam was awesome, fc had an exceptional balance of encouragement ,calmness and professionalism and top props to the scouts too. Thanks for the class both agony and student participants, look forward to doing some more :)

I was and still am impressed. After reading the material before class I didn't expect to have such a nice experience. I really liked whenever it got practical. Maudite 9 did a great job explaining and was supported by agony members in a very professional way. While I had a lot of technical problems thanks to that fine "grid won't load after jump" bug, I still enjoyed the roam. Great FCing, very impressive work of skirmishers who found us some juicy targets and also great classmates. Thanks to all, was worth the ISKies, will come back for more!

Absolutely wicked. Prior to this, the few times I had found myself in a PvP situation were just plain panicky and involved me hitting every key on my keyboard mouse and screen panel in a futile attempt to avoid getting podded. This experience of structured roaming under a cool and composed FC really got me amped up for more of nullsec. Off to my career agent now to spit in her face. Thanks a bunch Agony!

Maudite 9 was an exceptional instructor and FC, Support on recon and skirmish were no less in any way, shape, or form. Class was well taught and patience was shown throughout all of both events. The roam was outstanding not only from our agnoy leaders but our entire fleet cooperated as if everyone knew what they needed to do. Classmates were there to learn and have fun and it showed through the entire course. I look forward to returning as an alumni and also attending advaced classes. Keep up the great work Agony. P.S. IM NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ON YOUR WATCHLIST but you can watch me if you want XD

also wanted to give a shout out to maudite and his band of inties/scouts, clearest and most precise FCing i had the pleasure of being part of. Great roam, I found myself thinking at one point "those WTs pop like they're NPC rats" . ewar application, bubbles, etc was top notch i never felt lost nor not knowing what to do, as it sometimes happens during roams...and this was with 50 semi-random people that didn't really know each other grat job again!! cheerz Looking forward to a wolfpack class soon!

Sorry, but I don't think it's available for non-Agony. Have a look around the web, though. I know there are similar things out there - although I'm not sure if they are for public use either.

:) Great line!

As has been stated many times already, we had a blast! Maudite 9 exemplified for me that previously mythical beast - the calm FC - and achieved deification in the process. B) Seriously great job Agony, you all rock. You'd never have known that most of us were rookies last night - your skills made US look good. Amazing.

As Craterius said above, this was my:

(1) first (voluntary) pvp experience; (2) first roam in nullsec.

Loved it, and I'm going to keep my eye open for PVP-WOLKPACKS and future Alumni roams.

Maudite and his interceptors did a really good job of making really interesting battles (spatially). Makes me want to learn to fly interceptors!

I really admired how fleet comms were managed and it makes me want to bring my corp's fleet comms up to snuff. Thanks everyone!

My only complaint is things never got as awesome after the Tengu battle, and that I only died once.

This was my first time flying as assault frigate in combat, and I must say it's a very different experience than flying a T1 frigate. This class was an excellent way to get my feet wet and still contribute in a meaningful way. Thanks for the opportunity, I enjoyed that roam just as much as the first PvP basics I attended.

Here is a mail I sent to our group :-

Well, I don't usually post anything to CCG at all, since there are people who do this much better than me. But for all those who signed up for the Agony PVP Basics class, I hope you enjoyed it (i only attended the roam on the second day as Alumni - which is forever free once you have done the PVP Basics class).

Now to the PVP Basics roam. If you attended the course, I hope you didn't skip the roam! If you did skip it, you will be forever sorry at the huge amount experience and fun that you missed out on ....

This Agony roam was perhaps the most epic roam I have been on with them to date (as Alumni, I've been on quite a few). The roam was about 5.5 hours long, starting just after 18:00 eve time. The roam was FC'd by Maudite 9 . He was a damn good FC, with very very clear commands and had a number of excellent scouts to support him. Pretty much everything went perfect for him and the fleet all night long.

This was a basics roam with many pilots new to roaming in null and new to operating in a fleet. Considering those facts, I was very impressed by the orderly comms, timely execution of FC commands, setting up watch lists (using them heavily), short warp punting, bouncing off tacs, use of multiple bubbles for offence & defence and everyone generally not getting whacked by the multiple smartbombing battleships. The learning experience on this roam couldn't have been any better ... even I managed to use the tactical overlay to plan an intercept route for a tengu or two. I was suprised that this was noticed by the FC. To be honest, I usually die quick, my ideas usually end up with a quick death and I am only any good in a group when supporting more experienced players. (Credit to Boiglio there for pointing that out in chat ! "groupie"? Lol). Any credit that the FC gave me there was either a complete fluke on my part, or more likely a result of the fantastic mentoring efforts of those involved with RF and nothing to do with my personal effort. They all know who they are. When you go on such a roam, you realise how much you have to learn and how much other people know.

I clocked up 40+ kills on this roam, with no deaths (how did that happen? o ). My kills are here http://www.agony-unl...38661167/kills/ . The group as a whole killed a few more ships.

Kills included:- 4 tengus (some faction fit), a Loki, proteus, 2 domi's, etc etc. Browse through the kills. A few nice things happened along the way :-

i) we decloaked and killed a couple of cov-ops ships at gates
ii) we proper blobby ganked a fishy (ha ha that was fun http://www.agony-unl...l_detail/88513/).
... but the icing on the cake was a blinky rapier kill just as we were finishing up the roam in low-sec (http://www.agony-unl...l_detail/88560/).

You can clearly tell I dont write many mails, being so disorganised and all, but I think anyone who gets a chance should seriously consider attending the next AGONY PVP Basics and the roam.

My thanks to all those who introduced me to RF (after the first CCD I attented a few years ago) and all the subsequent support from everyone involved with RF.
Fantastic effort from everyone,

Right, I'll slope back off to my secluded dark corner and be silent. Nothing to see here any more, move along ....

I guess that says it all. :D

I'm afraid due to a mix up in dates I missed the lecture. I shall have to attend one later to see what I missed. I did however sneak onto the roam anyhow and found I knew about enough to not embarrass myself :). The roam was great fun from start to finish. Thanks to Maudite, his scouts and all the other students, certainly the best frig fleet I've ever flown with by far!

Of the few roams I have attended this is the best to date. Not for the crazy amount of isk debris and frozen fried implants (o/), but from the Maudite9's calm and clear fcing and great scouts. Holding cloak, no smart bomb deaths, Good coms, etc. - I believe there was only one time when clear comms was called and a couple J words called out of order. Good FCing trickles down to the fleet. One thing I would have liked to see was cyno/hot drop on us to see how we would handle it. Not sure why it didn't happen for a few of those fights. Personally - I took some time off, with the exception of updating my training queue, from Eve online for the last 4+ months. I needed a good null sec refresher. I fitted out 3 Griffins and to my surprise I docked up with the same one I left with. Through out the roam I felt I got better bouncing in and out and choosing the best range to warp into. Optimal range for somewhat stationary fights - align to celestial and jam, and warp to a close as possible when chasing tengu's down, which ended up be a good deal farther out when I arrived. Thanks for the great roam.

So... For your information and for posterity, only BASIC students who have attended the class, Alumni, and Agony are allowed to go on the roam. You must have attended the class in full for this privilege.

I would like to say that it was a fun and informative time; I have flown my fair share of CTAs, and work out of Low and Null on a consistent basis. But it was very refreshing to fly with such a level headed and professional group as Agony. If anyone is fretting about sticking their toe in Low or Null, I cannot think of a better group for your first experience. I endorse this product and/or service.
