Just to do things a bit differently we have invited Sard Caid (Blood Thirsty Pirate / CEO and Founder of Gunboat Diplomacy / TwitchTV Feed Broadcaster) to give a 30 Minute seminar followed by an Alumni roam. This event is open to anyone who has completed PVP-Basic.
The fleet will form up in Stacmon V - Impro Factory on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 18:00 EVE time. This is 2PM for Eastern Standard Time for you North Americans who always get confused. We will be entering low-sec in Ostingele for those with particularly low standing with the CONCORD authorities (Like our FC
on our way to our usual hunting grounds in Syndicate.The Seminar

The fleet
We are asking everyone to bring T1 Cruisers and have at least one replacement ship ready for re-shipping purposes. You may bring a T2/T3/faction ship if you like but be aware that no special considerations will be made for your survivability (might as well label your ship 'bait').
I suggest people bringing a Blackbird also bring a different ship in case we have too much ECM and I ask people to change.
I am not going to tell you how to fit your ships as fitting them yourself and playing with EFT/Pyfa can be alot of fun. However I will ask that you follow these guidelines:
Fit a propulsion mod, MWD is prefered but an AB is fine if you have cap or fitting problems.
Fit at least one tanking mod, either a 800mm/1600mm plate or a large shield extender plus a Damage Control module.
Fit appropriate ewar please, ECM On BB's, tracks on Arbitrator, damps on Celestis, short range ewar like scram/web on fast ships like stabbers and long range ships like caracals go for damps. We will be balancing ewar before we head out so do not worry too much about it.
Warning
Just to be clear, Sard Caid is not your typical friendly PVP university instructor. You can expect that communication protocols and FC style will be different than you are used to from our normal roams. This may include engaging in low-sec, offering ransoms, or other actions not normally seen on our roams. As a member of the fleet you are expected to follow the FC's orders. The only exception is if you find yourself in a situation where you may be fighting a blue, you may refrain from engaging. This is an experiment for us as well. The only thing I can guarantee is that there will be lots of awesome pew-pew!

Please post in this thread if you plan to attend. Please linking your basic class code in your application. We are planning to cap the sign-ups at around 40, aiming for a fleet size of 30 actually showing up so please sign up early. Watch this thread for an updates to the roam as the date approaches.
People who have attended cov ops or skirmish classes can sign up to fly these roles if you would like, i would ask that these pilots are comfortable with giving intel, running camps and escaping/avoiding bubbles. If you are signing up for one of these roles please also have a cruiser available for when we balance the fleet.
