I work Saturday nights and cannot make the roam portion of the class for April. It appears that most of the classes are run Friday/Saturday. Is there a way to do the roam part separately? Is it possible to get private instruction on the days i am off?

Students are considered "graduated" after the class portion is over. The roam is optional (but highly recommended). If a student can attend the class day but not the roam day, they are welcome to attend a future roam at any time (would be attending the roam as an 'alumni'). As an alumni, you would be welcome to attend future class roams or even future alumni-only roams. Most classes are Friday/Saturday due to trying to accommodate the varying time zones and FC/support-staff availability - scheduling is a bit crazy to be honest :)

What GG said. :) Show up for the class and then you've got a free lifetime pass for alumni roams (of that class type). What a deal, right!
Fight them, sure.
Fight to win, always.
Just don't be dicks about it, as usual.

Would it be a problem if you came along to the roam, but cut out early?

Yes, you can leave the roam at any time :)

Just be careful where you drop fleet - you become a legitimate target when you do B)

To be clear - we're not going to blow you up the instant you leave fleet, but once you've had a little time to (presumably) get out of null or to your station of choice, you are fair game just like anyone else.

Cool, I'll book in when the thread unlocks then.

lol, I figure odds are good, that I get podded by the random denizens of null sec while I make my way out anyway.

Well, hopefully by the time you leave the roam, you'll know enough about navigating nullsec that you'll be able to get yourself out reasonably safely. It is much more likely though, that the fleet will be melted eventually and you'll wake up in Stacmon at a time that is appropriate to leave for you! :)

Not unless you're careless or very unlucky. The "random denizens" of Syndicate are all usually well aware of when Agony runs PvP-Basic classes and are generally quite wary of random people in frigates, just in case there's another 50+ on the other side of the gate :D

Of course, this may prove more dangerous than helpful, as they typically will have 50 on the other side of the gate/system/cyno as well.

Just follow what you learn in the class and you should be able to get out safely. Though as GG pointed out, we are likely to end up in Stacmon around the time you want to leave anyways due to mass podding/losses.

Yeah that's just my (limited) experience in Syndicate - people tend not to bother with "random neutrals" if they've either lost eyes on the class or its within a system or so. Paranoia 4tw :) YMMV of course.

Class-night-tank ftw?

Me?

I doubt it. I tend to die more on Agony roams than with anyone else :D

The last class (early doors stuff prior to Eve-Uni fight) I ended up 2 hops behind in Orvolle (confusion reigned) and ended up going through a couple of Genos gatecamps when fleet was 2-3 ahead. They didn't aggress, probably thought I was bait - some bait with 2 nos, scram and one repper on a Vengeance :D

Even though i signed up and on the standby/waitlist... does the list get updated or how do i get informed that i made it into the class?

I'll update the original post and also post on the thread that standby's are in or not - usually I'll try to send you a private message also but don't always have time to do that. This is usually done the day before the class. As it is right now, it's very good odds that everyone on standby right now will be in, as we only have 3 or 4 on standby and one cancellation so far, we usually get 5-8 cancellations so odds are good.
