LOL...what an odyssey this test server thing has been...started 3 days ago trying to get on and between the server's being down and my getting the message when it is up of "incompatible (version)", have still not been able to get logged on. So let's hope they do in fact re-mirror. Finally got the fix for the incompatible problem (I think)...you have to manually edit your shortcut to point to the Sisi server rather than the TQ server. It is buried in the pages of instructions somewhere. Vegas line on server's being available when AU wants to use it: 3-to1 against. Note that they are only going to be testing FW for 3 hours each day Weds-Fri, what they will be doing on Sat is anyone's guess. One thing for sure...they dont like plug 'n play players messin' around on their test server. :dodge:

Well, let's see...
* The class is 1.5 days away and the material is not available to the students?
* The testserver is going up and down which makes getting ships ready a bit harder to do on time - with no indication of ships and gear needed is posted to this forum, no access to the necessary article.
* No time to read the article... so it is hard to be there well prepared.

At the same time though acquiring ships and fittings on the test server can be done extremely quickly and cheaply, which makes getting prepared that much easier. If the test server is down when the class is supposed to be on, well that's out of Agony's hands.

Please withdraw Syresh from the CapSupport class. I had a certain amount of time available before the class this week to prepare. That time has come and gone and the materials and needs for the class are not available. This is unfortunate as I was looking forward to this class/seminar. :mistrust: Kind of dropped the ball on this one.... Please take 5m and apply it to the FlyBy course that I have applied for. You may hold the remaining 10m for future class or return it.

I appologize for the delays but not losing my job at work in RL takes priority over any game. I woudl be happy to return the money of any discontented student. When my job says "you will deploy this software by friday morning. <-- note the period" then all other things take a back seat. I will QUIT EVE before I put my family's financial future in jeopardy. And Im in a bad enough mood from working 16 hour days for a week to say that if anyone doesnt understand above said paragraph, I will be happy to return your isk and you can find somewhere else to get trained. That being said I am finishing up the one article for this class today and its not that long. It will take you 20 min to read and study max. Being as it is the test server getting any equipment is pathetically easy. This is not a combat seminar where we go out in gangs. Its merely a seminar on how to support capital ships. The isk goes to pay for administrative costs and to give all the people at agony some marginal reason to come along rather than make 15 times that much for the corp ratting an hour in pure blind. EDIT: And the next person that gives me SHIT about this (note we have no * filter here) WILL get their money returned and told not to come back. The gall of anyone who thinks I should put my family at risk for a fucking video game is not worth my time.

Fellow students, it is always a good idea to remember that EVE is only ones and zeroes. !lol

For anyone worried about ship fitting, it appears that the SOE station in Pure Blind that we are meeting at has been seeded with just about everything other than faction gear all for the low low price of 100 isk per item. It took me less than half an hour to buy and fit two ships and I had enough isk left over for a case of Quafe Ultra.

Oh, they have full snake/slave/etc. implant sets as well I finally got to try them out. Sure wish I could afford them on Tranquility!

Is any one else having a bitch of a time getting on the test server? I finally got a build that was compatible installed yesterday, flew to the class area, got everything I need for gear. But then today, the client said I had to upgrade the build. I did so, now it says my build is incompatible! I hope I don't miss this class due to client issues.

Meridius: The easiest way is to delete what you have now, copy your main eve folder and download the current test server patch.

But then today, the client said I had to upgrade the build. I did so, now it says my build is incompatible! I hope I don't miss this class due to client issues.

The fix for this is to create a shortcut to the exe file, then change the target of this shortcut to

"C:/xxxxx" /server:87.237.38.50

where xxxxx is the exact file path of your Evetest folder. Basically the problem stems from each patch reseting the test copy to point to TQ instead of Sisi, adding the weird bit in the above quote redirects it to the test server when running the exe file. Make sure you include the " at either end of the actual file location and the space before the server redirect.

Guys, I did do all the things you mentioned when I installed the second client for Sisi. I just tried logging on again to ensure my Cyno 3 is finished and it no longer says incompatible now, but it is reading Status: Unknown for Singularity. Is anyone else getting this at the moment?
