Excellent video, well presented. The theory was pretty well understood when I took the class, because of the reading material. The video supplements the reading material with demonstrations using real ships. The reading material can include the formula for gun hits and some graphs of damage output. One question: What is field of vision angle on the Eve camera? If it is 90 degrees, clicking midway between the target and the edge of the screen results in a 22.5 degree angle of approach? The class time is best served with questions/answer sessions and roams. And more roams. Forget shooting each other, finding real targets, that's pure joy.

I'm not actually sure. What I do know is that it isn't linear - the field of vision mimics a fish-eye lens, so objects and distances near the edge of the screen are distorted.

I've updated this video based on some of the feedback I received (as well as adding in a section on turret range). The new video can be found in the OP, or here:

Thanks for removing the Eve background music Azual, it makes it much clearer. Only real (very minor) criticism : "Effective" tracking speed - have you guys always called it that (ie tracking x sigradius/gun size) ? What you mean is crystal clear when explained but its a strange way of saying it.
Today's word is :

MORAL, adj. Conforming to a local and mutable standard of right. Having the quality of general expediency.

I've seen it mentioned in numerous sources... don't think that term is an Agony only one afaik
