Ok, By this point you should know the drill. We are still tweaking on this new version of the wolfpacks class so any comments both good and bad will be of use in improving the classes for folks to come behind you (and you if you decide to come back as an alumni). Let us have it.

Pro: I liked having the agony/alumni play opfor after the class portion as a hands on bit. Even though I got 'sploded, I feel it really brought the point of the lessons home.

I'm sorry that I could not make it. I had a group project for a class that I had to work on. I hope that I can make it to the next wolfpacks class. The Reading material taught me some interesting things though. I'll remember the page with the kickout station models. Also knowing that you have the ability to slow down under undock without losing dock immunity is useful. Might need an update if you are going to do a Thrasher's only Wolfpacks from here on out (But I kind of hope that you don't. I sort of like the Cormorant).

Unfortunately I couldnt make the roam but the class portion was far and away the most concise and informative AU session Ive attended, and Ive been to a few. The live demonstrations, such was with the fleet boostings and the unannounced elements of the bubble lessons, were particularly effective at driving the academic aspects home. Thumbs up from me, ed

Great class, great roam. I think that the best aspect, though, is the online course material. This is a valuable source of information, and knowing I'll have access to it from now on is a massive bonus to what is to be gained from the lecture and the roam. I'd also like to thank Cr8r and Gant for taking the time to chat to us on TS after the roam had finished. o7

I would have liked to have seen a bit more hands on. For example: A scenario where a bubble was dropped on the warp in between a gate and where the class was, with a small camp, where the student was required to scout the gate, report and then evade through. The roam was good. Nice dram kill.

Once again another excellent class and roam. I like the new class format. It put across a lot of information, some of it new. And a a good refresher for alumni. Thank you much for such a great class.

Really enjoyed the roam and the course. I thought the pace was abput right and the information very useful. The topics on punting and bubbles was very good. I can't think of any improvements to suggest, the roam was fun as always and informative. Djevik

Thank you for a very nice class!

+ Having access to the reading material after the course is fantastic, it helps to go back and brush up vague subjects.

+ Having live practice right after the theory, like with punting and squads going through the gate with a camp on the other side.

+ Nice and calm voice from the instructors and FC's.

+ Very good instructions on how to make tactical bookmarks. Along with the name convention used from the reading material, it makes the two a perfect match.

* Could have used some more practical time with bubbles on our own, not being warp around by FC.

- Our fight in 5-FGQI was a bit confusing at the start with going to/from the ice belt, but that's more combat related than to the WolfPack course I guess. :-)

- After our dock up in 2X-PQG (i think it was) and having a short break, while some was getting new ships from stacmon; it got a bit chaotic when we had to gather up again and there was a general confusion about "should we undock in 2X-". Could have used a - we start again at xx:yy.

Love the class and would highly recommend it.

Pro - I loved the fact that the class ended with a hands on concept test The instructor was very well spoken at his class, i have a-lot of experience with school and teaching and i had no reason to question his knowledge of the topic The class was at a great time in the middle of everyone's times I thought limiting it to the thraser was a excellent idea When asked questions the instructor acted on them as promptly as possible, a great plus The switch to the FC made it an for an excellent second half of the course Con - I felt the class mainly focused on interdiction rather then the actual use of destroyers in combat I thought that there could be more practical tests I felt that the practical was kind of confusing, there were commands coming from both our squad leader and the FC in the same channel which caused confusion. "Stay at 500m from the gate" and then i found that i was actually supposed to be in the practical at that point. The squad leader was giving out commands, if you guys look into a program called mumble, you can separate the channels and haave them talk to each other. But at the same time you can have a whisper to your current channel. On a side note, the PVP Basics has a sub forum, does the wolfpacks ?

Well, the first bit is by design. The class is not so much about destroyer combat though it is touched upon. As I explained in the post class discussion on saturday, Basic is essentially learning some tricks to defend yourself if you find yourself being attacked or war decced and you have no real combat knowledge to speak of. Wolfpacks has evolved from destroyer combat to teaching you how to stay alive if you are going to venture into low/nulsec space. The advanced class focuses more on fleet types and fleet tactics which can be scaled from frigates to battleships.

I felt that the practical was kind of confusing, there were commands coming from both our squad leader and the FC in the same channel which caused confusion. "Stay at 500m from the gate" and then i found that i was actually supposed to be in the practical at that point. I'm not sure i follow the comment on being confused... was this during class or during the roam? TS also does whispers but we don't use it in classes by design. We like things to be open so that you can see and hear what's going on and the decision processes that follow.

And no, Wolfpacks does not currently have a subforum.

pros hooray it happened we got to do wolfpacks. good knowledge base freely shared and well delivered all questions how silly where answered by agony or students whom knew the answers (and on that the students where not reprimanded for "TEACHING") CONS IT WAS LATE LATE ON A SATURDAY/SUNDAY NIGHT ..I WENT TO BED AT LUDICROUS TIME IN THE MORNING BEFORE WORK..NOT GOOD FOR MAINTAINING EMPLOYMENT IN RL. perhaps consider the people sometimes in AU tz I ALSO STRUGGLED TO STAY AWAKE ON BOTH OCCASIONS AND WHILST AGGRESSIVELY TANKING (WITH OFFICER FIT HARDENERS BUT I WAS GOING DOWN ALOT FASTER THAN I COULD REP WHICH DREW ME AWAY FROM THE PC AT TIMES) WIFE AGGRO DUE TO THE HOURS OF GAMEPLAY (NOT GOOD FOR RELATIONSHIPS)SORRY DEAR I WAS PLAYING A COMPUTER GAME DOES NOT CUT IT IN RL. Perhaps if we know where the roam is going agony could have some SPARE ships in an npc station for sale for lost ships..possibly a stockpile. A couple of times fc commands where not repeated which in turn left peeps behind at times. other than that all good..would do it again for sure and look forawrd to coming back as an ALUMNI

First off I'd like to express my appreciation to cr8r, Cory, Gant, and the rest of the Agony folks for doing this class. Learning from the pros is always a pleasure, particularly when the material is as relevant and well thought out as it is. Thank you. If I had a nit to pick I would like to request a little more patience from the instructors regarding the issue of aligning. I understand the importance and the reasons why it's done, but telling people to "pull their heads out of their asses" (I believe that was the quote) doesn't improve align times when the issue is really things like slow grid loading, garbled interwebz communications, unfamiliar accents, or the occasional RL distraction. Thanks again! :)

Very very good course guys. Like others I was waiting for this for some time after it being mentioned by a corp member how good it was when he did it a few years back. Some good tactics introduced, in particular the punt tactic. Was good to have the bubble practice exercise as well (glad it finished before i tried so corp mates couldnt laugh at me!! : ) Thrasher was definately a good choice of ship and had very decent dps on it, shame we never found more targets to exercise it on :) Keep up the good work guys!

Unfortunately I couldn't make the roam because I had to go to the emergency room for my heart (pericarditis) Sunday morning, but the class portion was outstanding. I will certainly attend every Basic and Wolfpack class that is offered in the future.
