CCP would look into more permanent consequences for criminals, so far this hasn't happened. Probably because everyone with a few destroyer alts can do it, and punishing too harshly will only result in character recycling. I must admit I am very fond of Ultima Online's justice system, where murderers could lose 20% of their stats and skills, and criminals tossed in jail for several hours or days. There are even games, where PK characters are deleted if they are caught within a certain time after the crime. Now that is consequence. If you destroyed someone's hulk, setting him back 15 hours, then you shouldn't get off the hook by whacking rats for an hour. Now as I said I don't see it practical to implement an UO-style system into EVE, but things should be brought more into balance, and there should be more long-term consequence to crime.
If you really have to vote female, Mynxee is a good choice... just don't vote for someone who will want to work to stop us terrible "PK'ers".
GRRRRR!

At least with Ank running publicly we don't have the current situation where she is raising issues through another Take Care delegate. Sadly she will probably get voted in along with one of the other terrible "PVP is bad" candidates. Thankfully they seem to have confused the CSM process with a "do what I say" process and so many of the terrible ideas will be rejected.Well, Tea, good to know you are going to be running, I was worried it would be Sok, Mynxee and that terrible woman. And in that lot, Mynxee wins by a million AU.
The laughable fact is that I had to raise a carebear issue (one that also related to FW) because for 3 meetings in a row the Take Care party didn't Care enough to raise it (even though it fell squarely into their area of expertise). Of course I pushed the issue as submitted but then suggested an alternative risk vs reward system which would still make PvP an option

It seems like a fair proposal to me If you are playing the game you can have rewards, if you are not playing you can't.My only issue with you, Tea, is that you have voted for not letting inactive accounts gather datacores. Bad teadaze... oh, wai... all my datacore producers are currently active, so ... oh, well, I forgive you...
Sadly there was some discussion snipped for NDA reasons...

I'll leave this subject until CCP announce somethingBah in that case Tea won't get my votes. One thing I like is letting the datacores build when I take vacations, voluntary or forced.

That's part of the problem. She doesn't. She does forum whoring from what I can tell. And she is disqualified even on that topic...

Tea, you're a friggin retard and I should hunt you down and burn you at the stake.
But I don't think Guernsy has enough wood for that to work, so you're safe.
You are voting for Tea or I will... hm.... I find myself lacking a good threat, except for the usual..
I WILL STICK YOU IN MY CARGO HOLD WITH KERZACKS OLD TENNIS SOCKS!!!!

I definitely don't get why anyone should be able to just sit back and farm datacores with no effort.
Because they want to be able to buy ships to kill people with when they finally have some time to play. I think its a good income source for casual gamers.

If those 9 random players just shout, whine, bitch and moan like some previous CSM candidates who are running again then of course nothing gets done. Some days, Tea, I suspect they listen to the CSM as much as they do any 9 random players.
CSM4 did things in a different way and got some very positive feedback.
The difference here is between getting passive income from a paying account and getting passive income building up on an unsubscribed account. The first is fine for casual players, the second is unfair on the paying customers.

Farming datacores might take little effort ongoing, but there's a huge time investment up front to get to a decent level.
Hundreds of hours of boring missions to get the standings required and a large investement in skills (the ISK isn't huge - a hundred million or so, but the training time is wasted for most other pursuits). Even then if you want to make decent ISK, you need to monitor the market, shift your research to different agents and finally sell for a good price.
All of the ongoing effort requires a player that's active, but if you take a month ofr two off, it's always encouraging to come back to a small pile of datacores to fund some fun. I don't mind if CCP nerfs it for inactive players, but keep it reasonable, like maybe a month - RL people can go on holidays for a month and come back to find that things have progressed OK at their jobs.
Anyway, I'll be supporting Tea with all my active accounts and I might even spring for a GTC for my inactive account when the time comes for an extra vote.
Tea - let us know when you're ready and we'll do the support thing on the Agony website again.

Just waiting on the official list from CCP which according to CCP Fallout will be sometime this week (they are running compliance checks according to her twitter).
Whilst I know we'll disagree on some issues I hope people will support my policy of sticking resolutely to the CSM process. Anyone in Agony can confirm that I refused to raise issues for them directly and always gave the same answer, raise them via the Assembly hall (Agony people got no special treatment )
We'll tell CCP whatever you want us to tell them, as long as we get what we want!!!!!! i.e. special treatment.
